A few minor tweaks are needed, but overall, great device.
I have only just started to play with this, but it's really nice. There are a few peccadillos I wasn't expecting though. I'll start with the good -1. This is super quiet. I didn't expect it to be this whisper quiet. I do all Voice-over videos, so that's not a big deal for me. I rarely use sound captured in my shots. But for those doing interviews, this should be just fine. You start to hear it at about 80% speed.2. It's pretty smooth. I haven't had a chance to really dig into all of my shots with this, but so far I'm really happy wit the results. Now the cons:1. There doesn't seem to be a way to aim the camera if it's mounted directly on the mounting plate. You seem to need a balljoint or some other mounting hardware in order to aim the camera. That seems like an oversight. Fortunately, I planned to use this with a ball joint, so it's not a problem for me.2. The battery doesn't sit very securely in the remote. I have inadvertently knocked it out a couple of times.3. It's pretty heavy.4. It fits very tightly into the carrying case. The foam included in the case is great to make sure nothing gets jostled, but it's actually TOO tight, to the point where it's hard to get the track, remote, and battery in and out of the case. All of these are very minor points, and are more annoying than deal breakers - at least for me. I'm looking forward to doing many many videos with this device!

Quite good for the money
I like this slider a lot. It is a good product and doesn't cost an arm and a leg like many others. It is silent, slides well, directions are easy to understand the most part. 2 down falls: the setting for auto-stop is in a dimension i do not recognize, therefore i don't know what 350678 represents as far as inches are concerned. Also, the track/pan pole has a screw and dial on each end, but when you attach a tripod to the end to hold it up, the tripod release plates (when tightened down) do not allow for the track/pan pole to be moved at all. it's a matter of remove from both tripods, remove both tripod quick release plates, set on ground, move track/pan pole, put quick release plates back on, put back on the tripod. It's a long and expensive piece of equipment to have to continuously dismantle to get the shot just right. If you just loosen the tripod quick release plates, you risk the whole thing falling to the ground, including camera, and potentially breaking something. BUT despite that, it's a big step up from manual slider.

Worth a shot.
The media could not be loaded. Item arrived on time but with two major issues. First, the plastic face of the controller was already detaching from unit, I'm guessing they didn't glue it down correctly, I can deal with that and move on... Second, and most importantly it does not function correctly in Auto loop mode, when it reaches the end of the track it will not stop and tries to continue in one direction. This shakes the entire unit and almost caused it to tip over when using one tripod. Also if you mount to tripod be careful not to thread the screw too far as there is no stopper mounting holes and it can cause the track to bind.Update 10/5/2017 , received message from seller stating they will send me a new controller for free. I have not had a chance to try updated instructions on Auto Loop mode. I will update rating when new controller arrives if in better condition and when i am able to test Auto Loop again.Update 11/2/2017 , seller sent new controller and took care of my issues. Customer Service was fantastic. Video is from my YouTube vlog

Remote doesn't seem to work.
I was excited to get this and set it up. I got everything setup, plugged in the remote and the remote is unresponsive. It turns on, and shows the menu but the buttons do nothing. If I cant get this figured out asap I am returning it.UPDATE:I had to return it without giving much time for the company to respond as my family was literally heading out the door for the holidays. They responded about 12 hours later offering to swap out the remote free of charge. The build and packaging of the rest of it were very good. Too bad it didn't work out for me. They assured me that each one goes through 3 levels of QA so I wonder if the extreme cold here in the plains had an effect on it while it was out for delivery (I got it from the UPS guy directly when he dropped it off, it did not sit on my stoop for any time at all).

Must be the best inexpensive motorized slider on amazon
I say this because it does everything as advertised, perfectly, no gotchas.NOTES:Your timelapse function isn't broken. You haven't identified the correct "start" and "stop" sides of the machine in settings. Just flip them when setting up, and put some mark on either side so you can identify them quickly. If the carriage is loose, there are four set screws on top which pitch two of the rollers in or out from the rail. Loosen the rollers, and CAREFULLY adjust these set screws until the slop is gone. If you over-adjust, your rollers and bearings will wear prematurely, and your motor will work hard to move the carriage.Buy a tripod ball head to go with, there are some in the suggestions under this item.Have fun!

Controller Screen isn't working!
LATEST UPDATE: DO NOT BUY! The controller is a piece of Junk. Second controller that they sent me broke just like the previous one after 2-3 uses. I want my money back and now they're not responding to my emails! The screen on the controller started going out yesterday and today its all white and I can't see any of the menus. I've barely used the slider. It's great other then this problem that just came up. I wish there was a way to contact the manufacturer so they can send me a new controller. If someone knows how to contact them please let me know.UPDATE: Jack from ANJPRO got back to me within an house after my review commenting about the screen not working. They're sending me a new controller which is great customer service. That was my only complaint so far so that's great that they responded so quickly. I would give it a 5 start rating had the first controller not stopped working after only a month or two. Hopefully the next controller will work for a good amount of time with no issues.
