It's a Real Duesy
I received my new Tilley T3 Standard Cotton Classic hat today, 09-06-23, and I'm going to start this review right off the bat by saying I love it! It's a beautiful, size 7 1/8, Olive Green hat with quality exuding from every angle! Wow, it's a 'Real Duesy'... my best hat ever. The only problem is it's about 1 size TOO Big for my 22 1/4 inch head (I measured myself 4 times using a vinyl tape measure). According to Tilley's Hat Size Conversion Table, size 7 1/8 was the best fit for my head. I could have returned the hat and exchanged it for a size 7 but I wasn't so sure that size wouldn't be TOO Small. So I decided to SHRINK the hat myself. Here is how I proceeded...I filled the kitchen sink to about 4 inches with the hottest tap water available and soaked it for about an hour. I then put it in the clothes dryer, dripping wet, for about 2 hours on the hottest temperature setting possible. My hat now Fits Perfectly and I see no damage as a result of the shrinking process. This is one Great Hat and I highly recommend it to anyone so adventurous. I hope this review helps.

Top quality hat
1, Reason why I chose :Bought this for my wife. We love number of Tilly hats, but the biggest problem is not many local retailers carries variety of Tilly hats. And there is no Tilly flagship store in California. So I bought 3 different sizes through amazon and my wife kept the best fitting size.2, like & dislike :This hat works best for hiking. Brim size and rollable function is pretty good. No complain so far.3, Recommend this product to :Hikers.4, Price :Expensive but worth the price.

My standby.Most recent use was in Rwanda during a Mountain Gorilla Trek.Tilley kept the brush out of my hair, rain off my face and stood up to some very harsh and sweaty conditions.

Tilley recommends a certain way to wear their hats. Be sure to read it before buying. Tilley makes a great hat. The canvas one is a bit thicker than the nylon ones, but more durable, in my opinion.
