The best lifestyle book for healing and health
I have been familiar with Dr Mindy Pelz work for a few years now, after stumbling across her interview with Dave Asprey - I have never looked back.My journey was to use fasting for health and weight and to understand my Perimenopause issues and Dr Mindy's advice has healed me, reversing those night sweats, broken sleep and mood swings etc. that kicked in not long after turning 40.Dr Mindy is an advocate for people's health and has a plethora of geeky science, hacks, tips and tricks to help people, especially women to be empowered with their health and hormones. (check out YouTube).This book is a true Bible to help any woman, regardless of age, cycle or post menopause, to take back control of our health. I have learnt more from Dr Mindy, about how to look after my hormones than I have through school. This book needs to be in taught in schools to better educate our young girls.The book breaks down the science of our bodies and hormones and what each one does and how to look after them. It's explained why we struggle at certain times of the month and the healing powers of fasting and feasting and key foods for which hormones, gut health, muscles etc. Is bestEach area of womans health is shined upon within the pages of this book.There is a 30 reset plan and in appendix C, these 30 days are adjusted to help specific conditions ie infertility, thyroid, autoimmune conditions etc. Which I love, as every consideration has been lovingly mapped out easy.I love the food recommendation for helping the healing process, from ketobiotic days, hormone feasting days and gut reset days etc. To name a few. No stone has been left unturned. There is also recipes to get you started.This is a powerful book and a must for ever female looking for health, healing or to just better understand her hormones.I have read Dr Mindy's book the menopause reset, which helped me through my crushing symptoms of Perimenopause, that I didn't understand and not getting much help from my GP, with bloods coming back fine and an offer to medicate or going the natural way.The tools in Fast Like A Girl, will see me through my life, and adopting this as a lifestyle. I have witnessed first hand how fasting has healed both me and my husband.I was pleased to see that there is an app for Fast Like A Girl, though this is for iPhones. Saw It on TikTok,totally changed how I see fasting!
I found this book after seeing it all over TikTok, and I’m so glad I gave it a try.Dr. Mindy Pelz explains fasting in a way that actually makes sense for women’s bodies, especially with how hormones affect everything. It’s not just about skipping meals—it’s about syncing fasting with your cycle and truly supporting your health.The book is super easy to follow, and I love how empowering it feels. I’ve already started applying some of the strategies, and I feel more in control of my energy and cravings. Whether you’re new to fasting or have tried it before and struggled, this book gives you the knowledge and confidence to do it right.

Best ever! Open my eyes . Started to follow the recommendation and my period in 10 days come back as used to be! So actually opened my views and now more things are very clear to me

This is a very good book especially for those women who tried everything and still cannot lose the weight. I am one of them and during the last 4 years I switched from raw vegan to carnivore but nothing works because when restricting some things my body clearly needs them. This system gives me the flexibility to adapt to fasting and switch between sugar burning to fat burning without depriving my body of the nutrients it needs as whenever I went carnivore I craved fruit but when I ate fruit I felt not good, because the extreme was too extreme. Everything in my own experimenting and research now makes sense and I can stick to this way of eating for the rest of my life. I recommend. Many thanks!
