Basic at best
This book provides very basic information on this breed of sheep. You might learn something about how to find quality sheep, but none of the SUBSTANSIATED [sic] claims are, in fact, substantiated. There is no bibliography or even a simple list of sources. I just don’t know if I can trust any of the claims in it.There is no information on what diseases might occur, or how to treat them. Nothing on nutritional needs. Nothing on regular care like hoof care, or how to treat minor injuries due to accidents. If a triplet lamb requires additional nutrition, how do you determine how much to feed? The section on selecting a quality animal has the most information, but it reads like it’s straight out of the breed registry.Chapter 4 (Reaping the Benefits of the Katahdin Breed) is one page long. It contained several claims that were made elsewhere in the book. None of them explained how to reap any benefits.Out of a 40-page book, only 15 pages contain relevant (written) information.Pages 31 - 38 contain images of other books by the publisher.

Would have appreciated more in depth information in addition.

More like a children's book
This book is Not 40 pages and is more like a children's book. "Guess what, there's a thing called hair sheep. They aren't like regular sheep used for wool. The end." I wanted a resource for information as an adult looking into getting into hair sheep. This book answered NONE of my questions. Thanks, with an eye roll.
