I had one of these that was given to me but it broke after a year or so. I had to have it again! They are the best if you need 2 badges. Our office buys badges for us, but I would way rather spend a small amount of money and have exactly what I want. It makes my day so much easier!

item works better than i expected. i use two RIFD keys for work and when in the badge holder they can not be read on either side even when the reader is in direct contact with the card while still in the badge. the side-entry slot is real loose but since it stays in back pocket most of the time so when i reach for it i don't need to use both hands it come right out. However, for the most part it stays in the holder when it is not been in my pocket and i have it on daily for 12 plus hours running up and down stair sitting and standing all day. the plastic is not super strong, the clip has already broke.

For the price, these are a solid value. It's likely I'll need to replace it down the road. I use these for work and play (Pilots license and ID Cards). I would like to see a slightly stronger tab or hook point at the top of these, but again for the price the holder does exactly what it's supposed to do.

It works mostly, but not completely. The first time I tested it coming into our building it scanned me right in with the card in the holder. What I've discovered is that if you hold it right against the scanner it will read it. If you have more distance it will not read (~inch or more away). I was hoping that you could set this thing on top of a reader and it would not work until you pulled it out a bit but that is just not the case. I can only assume that the other reviewers here have not actually fully tested it or there would have been a comment about this already.It adds protection against somebody standing next to you trying to clone the card which is a plus but it fell short of being full protection.

I bought two for me and my wife and we love it. Works great, holds up well. I do recommend this product if you are looking for a badge holder that will last. Several times a day we have to take our badges out for variety of card readers, yet it continues to hold up and not wear out.

It has two sides, one that has access to it, one with vertical access and one horizontally. The RFID protection does work. I have a bus card which I usually have in my wallet and always touch my wallet to the scanner to pay the fare. I decided to test the badge holder and the scanner did NOT read the bus pass. Which does prove that the RFID protection works!I use the Badge holder with a lanyard so it's hanging from my neck with my work ID and bus pass. The reason for my two stars is that while at the office the holder banged against my desk, not very hard i might add, and the bus pass slid out. I don't know if this was due to wear and tear but the card was correctly in place. I have not had this problem with the work ID which I have on the vertical slot.During the next couple of days I will keep an eye on the bus pass and if it happens again my review will not be updated, otherwise, I will edit to reflect on performance.Update 7/23/2014:It's been some time now and I found that the bus pass continues to gradually slide out. If I wasn't paying attention then it would most likely happen again. A user commenting on this review has confirmed that this seems to be "inherent of the design" and is a known issue. Therefore, my rating and review stands.

Great, durable product. I work in a hospital where our badge and barcode are used for everything...even bathroom access. So I have to be able to access my badge pretty often. I purchased the vertically oriented badge holder for my horizontally oriented badge so that there was no chance it was going to fall out.
