Kit has a note on it that reads *The colour of the tie-dyed clothes is not permanent. If you would like the color fixing, the fixing agent must be used for soaking.What person would go out of their way to dye clothes and not want it to be permanent? Why not provide this obviously needed product in with your kit? Now I have to go purchase yet another separate product to make sure my child's rainbow ghost costume doesn't wash out the first time.

I was just reading the instructions and it says the dye isn't going to be permanent. What is even the purpose then?! It states that the agent you need for it to be permanent isn't "environmentally friendly". Lordy. Also, the dye powder doesn't come in the plastic bottles. They come in small completely filled baggies that you then need to add to the small bottles. I'm sure that would be a mess. So, I won't be using the dye at all. I guess I'll make use of the shirts and such, but will now have to go to the store to buy dye that will be permanent. What a scam! In my world to "dye" = to be permanent.

You need soda ash to fix the colors apparently. I wasn’t sure if I could return this anymore since we already used 4 of the dyes and a few bags. This is our third time dying the same thing, this time with more baking soda and hot water. It made the color darker, but all the pink went away. My daughter is very sad because she liked how it turned out before it was washed. The first time we dyed it, it washed out completely and it was back to white. The second time around it had a tinge of pink, but this time it had a little bit of blue but I had used a whole package of baking soda with hot water since we didn’t have any soda ash. Now I have to buy that as well so this whole kit wouldn’t just be a waste.

I love this box of tie-dye super easy to to make and everything’s ready gloves aprons rubber bands and you can paint with it you can use a spray bottle that works too I recommend this for anybody and everybody

It’s a very nice kit with everything you need to start being creative. I recommend getting on YouTube for more ideas. The colors are amazing and there are so many of them! I highly recommend this.

This kit is great and comes with everything you need to tie dye! Really enjoyed making some awesome tie dyed creations!!!! Includes an amazing instruction manual with 10 DIY patterns that can be made with all 18 bright colors in this set. Really love this kit, and can't wait to make some more!!!! #WORTH THE BUY!!!!
