Great!
These racks worked very well! Easy but tedious construction. However installing onto the vehicle was easy and no damage done to the vehicle. Held down the kayaks well and didn’t budge an inch on the freeway at >70mph. With wind. I didn’t use the straps however that came with these so not sure about those. Overall for the function, stability and appearance, great product!Vehicle is a ‘23 RAV4 for reference.

Look at user posted pictures before assembly, and have your own wrench!
The good: So far these things have held up pretty well! They were able to keep my two kayaks completely stable at highway speeds with 25-30mph winds from a storm. The foam pads that come with the racks are quite frankly useless and peeled up on the first use do to heat and humidity, but the foam that surrounds the bars seems to be more than efficient to protect the kayaks. The tie downs that come with this pack do seem a bit thin and will probably wear out over a good amount of trips out but for the time being they work and they’re easy to use (just the light blue gator straps, the rope like tie downs are fantastic) If you’re going to be using this with a sedan make sure you get the “under the hood” Kevlar hooks that bolt down to the frame and you’re definitely going to want a front and back tie down for each kayak. Also after being tightened down they seemed EXTREMELY secure to my Yakima Baseline rack. You could easily carry multiple surfboards or paddle boards on these for people who want to go that route. The not so good: The assembly wasn’t too bad, but that’s only because I had a 13mm deep socket wrench. If you try to put this thing together with the wrench they supply you’re a madman. I suggest removing your roof rack if possible to put these on as it makes things much easier, or if you have a standard 13mm wrench it would make it possible with the rack still on the car. I’m not sure if anybody has tried it but I definitely wouldn’t try to put heavier kayaks on these. Both of mine (Sundolphin journey 10ss and a 12ft necky gannet) weigh 45lbs so I wasn’t worried about the metal bending but heavier ones would worry me as the metal used isn’t extensively thick.Overall, for the price you really can’t beat this set as long as you have your own tools. Again I wouldn’t put something like a 12 foot fully loaded fishing kayak on here, but for the average user these things are nice. Assembly would take roughly an hour if you plan it out right.

Solid Racks That Get the Job Done
I was a little skeptical when ordering these since the price was lower than some of the name brands, but honestly, they’ve exceeded my expectations. Installation was straightforward, and everything needed came in the box—including the tie-down straps and ratchets. The racks themselves feel sturdy and well-made. Once mounted on our crossbars, they held our kayaks securely during a long drive without any shifting or wobbling. The padding on the bars is a nice touch and keeps the kayak from getting scratched or dented. The included straps were also surprisingly decent quality—I didn’t feel the need to replace them right away like I usually do with bundled gear. We've now used them a handful of times for local trips and a longer road trip, and they’ve held up really well. The kayaks sit snugly, and we’ve had no issues with slippage or damage. If you’re looking for a reliable set of J-bars without spending a fortune, these are a great choice. Easy to install, solid on the road, and they do exactly what you need them to do.

If price is important and you have mechanical ability, strong hands and and patience. This works.
I have not yet carried a kayak with this yet but it seems as though it will work fine and seems sturdy after assembly. Comes with (vehicle to kayak) anchor and (kayak to rack) tie down straps. The racks are packed well but the packing list is for one single kayak rack only. The instructions are vague but if you get out a magnifying glass the pictures are okay. The wrenches they supply would be good if you were stranded on a desert island soo...You will want a decent 13mm wrench and a deep well socket wrench would be MUCH easier, a small mallet or hammer and some slippery silicone spray might help too. The bars going thru the black plastic couplings/friction pads is the toughest part and require good hand strength. My advice to you is to use silicone or maybe WD40 to lube up inside plastic part to make sliding everything together easier. The plastic is very rigid and maybe a hair dryer can be used on plastic to soften and may help that problem. The goal is holes must line up really well. A screwdriver stuck through the holes that are close might work for some to achieve alignment. Hammer is used to tap the plastic only to move just a little. Square part of carriage bolt must be aligned carefully when inserting in hole. Put only one together and make sure it will work on your cargo rack before doing all of them. These worked on my 2013 Rav 4 but check yours. Comes with extra parts that could be used to adjust somewhat if need be. I saved a buck, good luck and pass the Advil.

Great deal 2 for 1 price
Easy to put together. Instructions could use some work though. Very pleased with the item thus far though I cant comment on the provided straps as I like to use my own.

Spend your money elsewhere.
Do not buy this product if you care about your vehicle, kayak or others safety. I purchased this rack last September when I planned on buying two kayaks on a road trip, but ended up passing on them. Finally got around to getting kayaks earlier this week. We strapped a small 1 person kayak for a 70 mile trip to the water. The rack and straps seemed alright on the way up. Everything worked as needed. I routed straps the same way when I prepared to return home. One ratcheting hook strap snapped on the freeway on my return trip home, luckily I had a nicer strap holding the rear of the kayak, that managed to hold the weight of the entire kayak on the back of my car. Both rack arms that were holding the kayak are bent out of shape and unusable, and the force of the kayak coming loose bent my roof rack which will now need to be replaced. The rack has only been used to pick up my kayak when purchased and one beach trip. Would not recommend purchasing for any needs unless you are going in short trips around town.
