Bought both the 6 and 9 inch
Ordered the 6” unit. While waiting for it to arrive, noticed that the 9” unit went on sale for $16, so ordered the 9” thinking I would send the smaller one back. When I got the 6” I decided to try it before I made up my mind on it. Found that it was perfect for cooking onions and mushrooms on the bbq. Great size for that. Nice to have a pan that I can use on my gas grill and my Weber kettle charcoal unit. Very impressed. Unit heats up nicely and once heated it keeps it heat in. I’ve also used it to keep sauces hot while bbqing. Works perfect. The 9” is great for stir fry and sauté shrimp. I bought my first lodge cast iron last year, a 9” skillet with the dual handles. I’ve been so impressed with these on my bbqs. And so easy to clean. Sorry, no photo, always forget to take them when I a cooking.

Awesome!
This is an amazing little pan! I recently decided to replace all my non-stick pans in an effort to reduce the chances of ingesting the substances that inevitably start flaking off them, plus in just a few months time I found myself replacing them anyway as they too would all start sticking. That’s when I discovered or rediscovered cast iron. I had some cast iron 20 years ago, but never really knew how to use or care for it properly so I would end up with stuck on food or with rust. Fast forward 20 years and this time I took the time to study the best ways to care for cast iron and I am amazed! NOTHING sticks to this pan. It comes preseasoned from Lodge and all I do is wash in hot water (no soap), dry well by placing on the stove burner a few minutes, then wipe a very thin coat of oil on it before storing. Another tip I found is to preheat the pan before cooking rather than just putting cold food into a cold pan to help ensure no sticking. So much better than commercial nonstick!! No worries of flaking, it’s less expensive than many commercial non-stick pans, plus it just keeps getting better and better the more I use it.This mini wok is the perfect size for 2-3 people. I’ve made cauliflower “rice” stir fry, scrambled eggs and sausage and vegetable stir fry in just the short time I’ve owned it. I’m looking forward to using it with a multitude of other dishes as well as it easily goes from stove top to oven. The nice thing is it’s really sturdy, but not too heavy for me to handle as the larger woks are. Even though cast iron is inherently heavy, the smaller size of this makes it super manageable. You will need to use a hot pad or silicone holders to move it when hot, but I’ve had no issues with it staying firmly in place on my gas range since it has a flat bottom, so the only time I’ve used my silicone holder is if I wanted to move the pot to the oven or to another location to cool. Generally, though, I just turn off the gas burner and leave it there until it cools, although this might not work as well on an electric stove.I currently own this mini wok, a flat griddle pan and a 10 inch high side frying pan all from Lodge. I love that they are made in the USA and between the three don’t see the need for any other cookware except maybe a couple stainless steel pots for boiling things or for soups. Although the shape of this mini wok would work perfectly for those too, they say not to leave acidic things like tomato based foods in cast iron for too long, so I will err on the side of caution because I think this wok will otherwise last a lifetime and will be something I can pass on to my grandchildren. It’s that awesome!

Great wok for making one or two servings on an electric stove.
Great wok for making one or two servings on an electric stove. Holds heat and concentrates it in the center for making stir fries. Too heavy to toss so I use a large metal serving spoon, and it works great to keep everything moving. Great browning and keeping food in the oil to brown properly without having to fill the entire pan.It is small, which is a benefit if that is what you are looking for...great for putting on smaller burners and still getting enough heat.

It's a Lodge
So far so good. I'm loving it for my morning stir fries--putting it directly on top of the largest (gas) stove burner you get it piping hot, and then stir fry your meal. I've used it for 4-5 meals since I got it, including the best fried rice I have yet made (the bar was low, don't worry). It /is/ cast iron, so clean it immediately without soap, and oil after every use. Standard procedure.I find the size to be perfect for single servings for me, as a fairly tall and athletic guy.The bottom does have a flat spot, which traditional woks do not; it doesn't seem to effect my cooking but YMMV. The only downside in the design is I wish it had an actual long handle instead of two loops. I have to use a pair of tongs to steady it if I am directly on the burner. If it's on a grate as in the photo, the weight holds it in place just fine.

Excellent Quality Cast Iron Skillet!
I absolutely love this Lodge 12-inch cast iron skillet! The build quality is outstanding, and it feels incredibly durable. It comes pre-seasoned, which is a great bonus, but I still gave it an extra seasoning before the first use.🔥 Performance: It heats evenly and retains heat exceptionally well, making it perfect for searing, frying, and even baking. Whether I’m cooking steaks, pancakes, or cornbread, everything turns out amazing.💪 Durability: This skillet is built to last a lifetime. With proper care, I know it will only get better with time. The handles are sturdy, and the extra helper handle makes it easier to lift, especially when full.⚠️ Things to Keep in Mind: Since it’s cast iron, it requires maintenance—hand washing, drying immediately, and applying a light coat of oil after each use. It’s also quite heavy, but that’s expected with cast iron.Overall, this is a must-have for any kitchen, whether you’re a beginner or a pro. Highly recommend it! 🔥👏
