Delta Faucet RP37490 Victorian Stabilization Plate, Black

I wish I knew about this stabilization bar years ago! The stainless steel sink in our kitchen has a seemingly terrible guage of steel at the faucet mount. It's a three hole setup and any faucet you install to it is just wobble central. I think it's purely meant to be used with one of those old school ugly lightweight faucet/knob combos with a coverplate. Our last setup was a simple faucet in the center, with a water control on the left hole and hose sprayer on the right. Lots of wobble, but liveable. Well eventually that unit went out and I decided to replace it with a single-hole faucet (water control at the base of the faucet), delete the hose sprayer, and use the remaining two holes for soap pumps. Looked great, but holy wobble! The new faucet was really heavy duty... and heavy! It was also much taller than my previous faucet. The amount of wobble was unreal. I was considering returning it until I did some searching and found this stabilization plate. Ordered it on Prime and had it in a day. Super easy to install and what a night and day difference. My faucet has almost no wobble now. You've got to crank it in really tight, but once you have it does it's job so well. I was considering spending another $200+ on a new sink... instead at 5% that cost I totally solved my problem. Thanks Delta!

(Uncompensated review, I bought this part myself.)My new Kohler faucet required me to create this piece out of 1/2 inch plywood.It doesn’t say that on the box. I guess it would have been too convenient for me to be able to pick up some plywood and the necessary hole saw when I was still at the hardware store?For the price of the faucet, they should’ve included a piece like this! And they don’t make one to purchase separately, as I really don’t want to deal with part fabrication in the first place.Delta saved the day with this part and Amazon delivered it right away to me.It was easy to install, its a perfect fit, and my tall faucet is very secure and doesn’t tilt or wobble under its own weight on my stainless steel sink.Great purchase, great price, exactly the product I needed. Next time I buy a faucet, I’ll check out Delta’s offerings first.

This was recommended for installation on a stainless steel sink with the particular Delta faucet that I installed. It is, in fact, necessary to keep the faucet from wobbling when using the faucet I installed. The part number was listed in the installation instructions and all I had to do was use that number in the search and I was able to easily order this part. It is plastic or nylon and looks to be very durable and works exactly. Price was reasonable and it was in stock. It was easy to install and I am very satisfied with my installation.

my particular stainless sink is very wimpy in the mounting area and I had to grind and fit large washers for faucet fitment in the past. I would prefer the stabilizer were solid instead of a spider network for reinforcement on the one side but, it still works better than old washers.

You don't know how thin your stainless steel sink is until you put in a very top heavy faucet that likes to wobble. I'm so thankful I found this stabilizer, I installed it today and it worked like a charm! I used it on a BWE brand faucet and a 22g steel sink.

Not matter what gauge stainless steel sink you buy you'll quickly find that you'll of wished you would have bought this stabilization plate first. The new faucets are very tall and very heavy. Install this plate under your sink first, then put on your fancy faucet. There is no bending or tipping to ever worry about. I highly recommend this product.

Installed a single handle faucet in a steel sink. When using the faucet the sink bent all around. After installing this it reduced the movement by a lot and is easy to install.

Needed this piece and the price was right! Came quickly and was easy to install and it worked perfectly, stabilizing our new kitchen faucet!
