Hit and miss with apps
Tried several apps (Android), works first time and later, same app showed connection issues. Restart phone helps, and it does work fully.

Faultless Environment..
Great little helper, I just plugged the little OBD2 Dongle into the OBD2 Socket under my dash, downloaded the free Torque app onto my Samsung Smart phone, fired up the engine, paired the OBD2 unit with my phone's Bluetooth settings using the code 1234, as per the instructions that came with the dongle, The instructions came on a tiny little booklet that I had to read with a magnifier, my only niggle about the whole operation, Then hey presto, the phone sprang into life and dials and charts appeared that let me see how my car was performing, I pressed the settings button and a host of choices sprang up for me to operate, right at the top is error faults, 'great' this will give you the fault codes required to find cause for the engine fault light on my dash, and the two codes came up telling me I had bulbs fitted to the car in the reverse light and day running light needed replacement, Both of which I was able to fit, Job Jobbed, so I now have the tool I need to save me a fortune in garage bills, Thank You...

Some are faulty
Sent it back. I have two of these wanted the second for a family member and it didn’t work. When I compared them I realised it was faulty and wasn’t broadcasting the Bluetooth signal. Nothing showed in available devices.

Works, but not with recommended apps
Android phone, Mercedes A Class CDI 2014 w176. Tried first the recommended apps in the instructions, none of them worked, either no connection or connection failing while reading codes. Finally got it to work with GaragePro (lite version costs $10), reads and clears error codes with no problems. There are probably much more apps that work, GaragePro was just the first one that came up in Google play search.

OK for the price, but consider buying better
When it works it's fine, but often works intermittently.I've got two, and one will usally connect, but not the same one each time.

Very limited. Not IOS!
I have faults on in both my cars so thought I’d try this, firstly it will not Bluetooth to my iPhones, works ok with my laptop though, I should have known better as I have an identical one that doesn’t work with iPhones. It worked fine with my mondeo and allowed me to reset the EML and read the code, exhaust overheated as I’d left it running to charge the battery, not the first time as it doesn’t get used much.My BMW is not talking to it, says no code stored. To be fair it shows transmission fault on the dash which I have to clear to see the screen but leaves the yellow warning triangle on not the EML.So on the whole, I’m giving it two out of five for not being Apple compatible, not being BMW friendly and not being supported by my Ford software which does read and reset the codes but doesn’t allow me to use any of the utilities.
