Is this light waterproof?

I do not believe that this light is waterproof. There is nothing on the packaging indicating that it is.

does the Pelican 3410 flashlight glow in the dark ?

Oh yes. Mine glows strong and the whole flashlight can be easily seen in complete darkness. I was truly surprised at how bright it glowed. Great light for all tasks and I'm a flashlight snob.

Is this light appropriate for kayaking in saltwater?

Probably, seems very well built and glows in the dark. It does not stand up on end unless the light is straight up, turn it down to a right angle makes it off balance and it will tip over.

Did anyone receive the batteries the description says are included?

I did not receive any batteries with flashlight. All though it does say on package batteries not included
