Disgruntled? Read the description and manual (PDF is right there) first! THIS MACHINE IS FANTASTIC!
I've only used it once but fell in love immediately. While it's heavy, it's easy to use. The only potential point of confusion is that the snake is loose in the drum and it's not marked that you're near its end. Perhaps do yourself a favor and mark near the end before you use it so it doesn't jump out on you. So many of the negative comments are associated with issues clearly stated in the ad. Things people are cranky about but that I knew before I decided to buy it (reading is fundamental): it does not come with a battery or charger, it comes with a 25' cable @ 5/16 but can accommodate a 35' cable at 3/8, it's not auto-feed. It's a very cool tool and I'm now happy my mom's kitchen sink was clogged.

Good quality and ease of use
It works as described. And it works well. Although after a few uses it stopped working correctly. But I took it to DeWalt and they sent me a new one in a few days. Otherwise it would have been a five star rating. They do state in the instructions that it's not advised to use reverse unless you have to. I felt that was kind of an odd thing to say. So I'm not going to use reverse with my new one. As you really don't need it. Unless I suppose you get it in a bind somehow. I have used it several times and I've always been able to get the cable pulled out by running it in the forward gear. It is a little heavy. But that's only due to the extended length of cable that's inside the machine. So that's to be expected of any of them I suppose.

Works very well
I've used this snake 5 times since purchased. It has worked great with zero issues. I use it with a Flexvolt 9AH battery. The primary use is on residential rental units. The non-spinning drum is perfect and won't scratch or mar cabinets or walls. It also saves you from possible injury. The light is bright and right where it's needed. The snake is a little on the heavy side, but not as heavy as the ridgid snake.

Great cordless snake
Great for a cordless unit. Not a ton of power, but it’s great for most clogs, in and out with out a cord. Light is great, internal drum is a nice feature also. Would recommend for most common clogs in a drain of 2” or less. Still need the super vee and k50 for the more serious clogs

Love it
Best tool I own. I love the portability and rough build to this. I use it regularly at my job as a maintenance tech.

Broke on 1st use
Title says it all, it either broke on the 1st use or arrived broken, but I can't get more than 8 feet out of the drum, and that isn't enough to reach my clog.

Good Snake
Another great tool by dewalt. I use this for lavs up to floor drains and toilets. I'm a plumber so I got a ridgid 3/8" cable for this snake.
