Smooth heat for hand therapy
My left hand was very badly injured by a shotgun blast. After surgery I needed therapy and they suggested I warm my hand before the exercises. Heating this for 60-70 second in the microwave does the trick! It has made my life so much better and my hand exercises have been without pain. I've gained limber back into the hand.

My Care Heat Therapy Glove
Update: Am changing my rating from a 3 to 5 stars. After putting this in the freezer a few times and using it more, I decided I like it more and my first review below was not a fair review.. the first few times I used it, it was too hot for the majority of the time it retained heat. It felt steamy. Maybe that had something to do with it being used for the first few times. I have tried it again and while it does get hot , it does not feel so steamy and I find it more comfortable, The heat seems to stay nice for about 10-12 minutes. Wish it would retain that temp for longer, but it is what it is.. I also realized that While not as hot as the inside the outside of the mitt gets hot enough ( that it can be placed over the other hand or another spot to give warmth and relief. So I will be keeping this mitt and and considering getting another so I can do both hands at once. So I do recommend this and it does give me some relief from the pain of carpal Tunnel and Arthritis. Also I do not think it smells bad.. Smells like any micro wave heating pad type thing. It is a natural smell of what it is filled with.I really wanted to love this.. It's made in the USA, it fit my smaller hand nicely, but I am disappointed. I don't normally have problems with hot. When company is visiting I have to turn the hot water heater down because it is set to high for anyone but me. My water in the kitchen gets so hot I like to hand wash some dishes just to run my aching hands through it. The hot really helps.. But this mitt gets too hot even for me. I switch my hands back and forth because for approx. the first 8 minutes after taking it out of the microwave it is just to hot for comfort.. Then it starts cooling down and there is maybe 3-4 minutes of perfect temp bliss and then it goes a little warm for a good amount of time. I suppose that most microwave gloves would be the same. This would be the perfect glove if it were electric and the temp could be controlled and kept at desired temp for a period of time with a liner that could be dampened for wet heat . the glove does seem to be decently made and if you just want a little warmth this will probably work for you. While it does have some weight I did not find it to be uncomfortable,

Works Great and easy to use
My wife has arthritis in her hands and fingers that becomes very painful by the end of her workday. Having to take anti-inflammatory medication works a little but not as well as adding this Heat Therapy Glove in addition to the medication helps with her soreness and eases the pain. Heating it up in the microwave is all you need to do. Depending on the power of your microwave more or less time is needed so you will need to experiment to get the right heat your conferrable with. Yes, there is a slight odor but kind of like a bread smell, but a minor issue given the benefits.

Broken wrist and sore finger relief!
I bought a MyCare Heat Therapy Glove because I shattered my wrist in October and had surgery to repair the extensive damage. They recommended in physical therapy that I heat my hand and wrist before doing exercises at home. I thought this would be easier than hooking up to a heating pad with an electrical cord so I bought one. It works great! Put it in the microwave for 1 minute 15 seconds and it is perfect for that purpose. I was visiting my parents for Thanksgiving and Dad (who just turned 96) got a chill after being outside and he complained about his hands getting cold so I heated it up and had him put one hand inside and rest it on the other hand. He warmed right up and asked me to buy one for him! My brother, who used to work in construction, heated it up for Dad the day after Dad received it and put it on his hand as he was walking over to Dad's chair... He never made it to Dad's chair. Instead he sat down with it covering a hand that had been hurt and operated on years ago - so Dad called me and asked me to order yet a third one so my brother would have one, too!

Great idea, mediocre materials used.
I LOVE this idea. After years and long days of computer use, these are heaven for relaxing achy hands. This is just how it could be very much improved...I know heating pads well...so my disappointment with these is they use what seems cheap, synthetic pebbles inside which doesn't keep heat as long, nor emanating as evenly and nice as simple uncooked rice, dry beans, or any other homemade heating pouch you can make yourself.2nd letdown, the fabric on the inside is nice and soft, but it isn't on the outside. Granted it's for hands, but hey, it's a heating pad too..while using for hands you can set it against another part of your body and that's not as nice.Lastly..colors could be better. Why are there no sophisticated, tasteful fabric colors for heating pads? But, all in all, if this concept appeals to you, buy it. It does work, and it's a GREAT idea.

For more than hands
My wife and I are very happy with these. She uses them for her hands and I use one behind my neck. My daughter has recently used one on her forehead for migraine and loved it. The shape and design really allows you to put it on your shoulder or a knee or behind your back or rest an elbow on it, etc. It isn't limited to being a sleeve that your hand goes in. For that reason and the fact that it is cheaper than most of the plug-in ones we think these are a great value. Oh, and they heat up nicely. Experiment with the amount of time in your microwave for the temp that suits you.
