Best Brand Of Lentil Pasta I've Tried - Lower Carbs & No Tired Feeling!
I'm very happy with the Explore brand of lentil pasta, in fact it is the only brand I buy now. I started to experiment with different brands of "alternative" pasta in an effort to lower my carb intake at the advice of my doctor. I can definitely feel a difference when I eat lentil or mung bean pasta - I don't get that sleepy feeling right after eating it, as one tends to get after eating a bowl of regular wheat pasta. The lower carb content compared to wheat pasta really seems to male a difference. So I tried Tolerant brand as well but find it too mealy. Other store brands were also not nearly as good as the Explore Cuisine, they either fell apart or were mushy. So I keep coming back to it, and have my cupboard stocked with the green lentil penne, the red lentil penne & spaghetti, and the mung bean rotini. (I did however hate the black bean spaghetti and ended up giving that away). You can't go wrong with the Explore Cuisine. It is very comparable to wheat pasta although there is a slight difference in that it is a little bit more chewy but not much more. I make it with tomato paste and Bar harbor chopped clams. Delizioso!

The best gluten free pasta out there, IMO.
I buy this on subscribe and save because it's a pantry staple. The high protein content, fiber, and fabulous al dente texture all make it part of my weekly menus.Just be sure not to over cook it: time it from when you put the pasta in the boiling water, not from when it comes to a boil again.Make sure you cook it at a simmer, that's where the bubbles break the surface of the water...not boiling!Rinse it immediately in a colander with cold water.I keep this cooked pasta in the fridge for 5 days and throw it into a pan with tomato sauce, cooked veggies, Italian herbs, and parmesan. When it's all cooked, but not over cooked---add the pasta at the end just to heat it up---I drizzle a little sxtra virgin olive oil and aged balsamic on top.

TASTES BETTER AND HEALTHIER THAN REGULAR PASTA
I've tried many organic and gluten free pastas and most disappoint. This is the best legume based pasta that I've tried by far. I love the texture and the taste! Well worth the cost!

makes great healthy penne pasta
I try to stay away from gluten pasta since that I found Explore Cuisine.. Pros are that it cooks nicely and when you bake it with sauce and cheeses it is terrific. Leftovers store well in fridge, but it's best if you store with some sauce. It heats nicely in the microwave and texture and taste is good as long as you don't leave it and dry out the pasta after cooking. I use Explore's other pastas as well, including fettuccini.

Best Flavor/texture
The Best tasting and textured red lentil pasta after trying several. I’m Italian and was needing to watch carbs so on this journey I went. Trying to understand why it’s not sold in 16 0z packages like other pasta. I didn’t realize this at first so didn’t have enough for everyone. So it’s a bit pricey.

Really good pasta
These are my favorite pasta for a plant based diet. Cook them a couple minutes longer to ensure they are soft enough. They do not get mushy.
