Great price
I prefer Dell laptop. They just outlast other laptops in my opinion. Very easy to use.

Excellent Laptop
I recently purchased this laptop to replace an older HP model that had broken. It comes with S mode enabled however you can easily turn that off in the Windows Store. You are not locked into S mode. While for some users, S mode is probably safer - I am a power user and I need S mode off.I installed and setup Microsoft 365 easily. I get Office products for free from my University as part of my Masters program. The fan does kick on occasionally though it is quiet and not noticeable. This laptop is snappy and fast. It has minimal ‘cruft’. Things like links/apps to Spotify, Tik Tok, etc are easily removed. It comes with McAfee but McAfee is crap. Just get Windows Defender. Go ahead and remove that.Keys aren’t backlit. That’s not a huge deal for me. I know where the keys areIt is efficient on battery power.

Computer would not turn on reliably after 1day
When this Dell arrived it turned on and worked perfectly. After I complete the updates the computer told me I needed to do, turning it on was a challenge. Dell on-line chat support tried to help as did phone support. Long story short, the Dell computer would not turn on. For that reason I’m returning this computer.Cannot give it any stars as it’s hard to rate a product that will not turn on.

Great for the price.
Not bad but also not amazing. This will get the job done. Works good for music production, digital art, and some decent gaming potential.

Perfect for my needs
I bought this as a travel laptop for processing photos. It is light weight and fast. The processor is powerful enough to easily handle Raw camera files and the 32GB of ram and the Terabyte SSD make the process much easier than my old laptop. The size and weight make it easy to travel with. I am not a gamer so I can't really speak to that. On the down side, the card reader isn't as fast as my external USB3.0 card reader and it doesn't have a DVD player. Fortunately, I rarely need a DVD player when traveling. Those two things are minor as far as I am concerned. It is perfect for my needs and I'm a fan.

Not bad for the price but not the best,
The laptop functions are ok but the screen quality isn't great. One if the Biggest flaws is that there is no LED light on keyboard so you cant type in the dark or without a flashlight on your keyboard at night.

Working great.
This has been a great upgrade to my computing. The price was a bargain and it has been working perfectly. I am glad I chose to buy this one.

Cheap and nice specs, but very flimsy - broke on its own
This laptop - purchased brand new - made it only about 16 months with very light use (a couple of hours every other day or so). The whole thing was kind of weird and fairly disappointing. The first thing I noticed (and made peace with eventually) was that the shell of the computer was made with relatively flexible materials - it did not feel like a normal computer. The bottom section would actually bend slightly if you set it on any surface that was not flat. The track pad especially had problems with the flexible shell. It would either hold a click or not recognize a click at all unless you placed the computer onto a hard and perfectly flat surface to kind of reset it. You couldn’t ever realistically just have it on your lap!Relatedly, I woke up one morning last week, gently flipped open the laptop, and it was… broken. Nothing had happened to it, the brackets holding up the top section just kind of wore out and the loose edge broke the screen when it flipped open. It’s the only time I’ve done nothing at all wrong and had a screen break. If there are any pros here, it’s that I can’t complain about the performance: the machine ran games very well, the brightness was fairly good. It was not heavy and the screen size was not bad for the price point. If only the manufacturer hadn’t skimped on the materials, this really would have been a decent computer for the price.
