Not much to say, it works better than you think it would

I enjoy dim sum and we live in an area where it is not really available. So we tackle dumplings every once and a while. This press has simplified the process of making pot stickers quite a bit. I can make an entire package of dumpling skins into pot stickers in less than 1/2 hour. No that doesn't cover making the filling itself, but overall in an hour we can be eating lovely dumplings and I am not going crazy with wetting and folding the dumpling skins and having them unfold or tear. This press holds a slightly less than a teaspoon of filling and a round dumpling skin and just a quick press and onto the next one. I do use a fingertip of water on the edge on one side. I like the little handles. I spray mine with a touch of Pam at the beginning and it works for the whole batch. It is still a messy process so I make mine over a sheet pan and keep the mess more contained. This is a great inexpensive easy to use product and definitely a great idea.Recently we bought some larger potsticker skins from a San Francisco market which were a bit larger and thicker.They held almost 2 teaspoons of filling and it was a much faster and easier process to make dinner. Mostly we use the supermarket variety which are round and about 1/2" smaller than the inside of the press which is why those dumplings are so small. The press is still one of my favorite dedicated kitchen tools.

We’ve been making dumplings by hand but this simplifies the process. Seems durable and is the perfect size for our needs. No complaints!

I was so excited about this product because I love to make dumplings (but it would take forever to crimp). While it looked pretty when I used this press, as soon as you try to boil or fry the dumplings, the dumplings open at the seams, even when sealed with water. Not impressed, unfortunately.

A whole tray of consistent-shaped dumplings filled and sealed in under 5 minutes. Not a single one burst open when boiling or frying. Enough said. The little handles do feel a bit weak and could use a stronger redesign, but this little press still does the job just by squeezing the 2 jaws closed with your hands.

I was eager to try these and was hoping to have the opportunity too. However, I was not give the chance. Came to me broken in pieces. It's made of cheap plastic that was already cracked. And it was dusty, very dirty. Go with the steel ones, better quality and will not chip like these. Not safe.

Love this thing! Very easy to use with reliable results. Make sure to wet the edge of your wrappers and don’t over fill them. Be mindful of the orientation of each wrapper and you can get them to look pretty consistent.
