Works, but expect the sponge to be a single use if using with epoxy
Worked great for wiping off epoxy grout, but its epoxy, and if the sponge is not cleaned and rises off thoroughly and immediately then it will harden and no longer be useable. Just lightly rising and leaving in a bucket of water until your next wipe with the same sponge is not enough, the sponge will harden pretty quickly even in the bucket of water. So from my experience, if you're using the sponge with epoxy grout then expect it to be a single use. Not really the sponges fault, but before purchasing, consider the price of the sponge for a single use.

I am a DIY and had done epoxy grout before without it, never again!
OMG YES worth every penny!! I am a DIY person thought epoxy was the worst before this sponge and that perhaps I had ruined a beautiful custom bathroom tile job because of the grout. Use this when epoxy is about an hour of being worked in and then "scrub" the excess off the tile like a pro, finishing with a final wipe with a towel or rag literally leaving little to no grout haze to clean after. This works great with the epoxy grout cleaner I got from amazon called professionals choice epoxy grout film remover even on old thick haze that has been on a year! This made the nightmare expectation into a doable job. Remember if you are new to epoxy grout separate your activator or simply use what you have only in small amounts. It goes a long way towards removing your panic ones it starts drying and you see all your haze left to clean later. I thought I'd be cheap last time and buy the epoxy sponge from Home Depot and lowes, if I had only known what a true epoxy sponge was like I would have never butted an eye about the cost or wait from amazon.

Don't use epoxy grout without it.
It's very unusual that the local home centers, which carry epoxy grout, don't carry epoxy grout sponges although they have other related items like epoxy grout pads. The difference between a regular sponge and this one is day and night when using epoxy grout. This one doesn't get clogged as quickly as a normal sponge to allow you to finish the job with one sponge only. Plus it does a better job of cleaning the epoxy grout.Unfortunately, for a quantity of one, it's rather expensive with free shipping. Therefore, I ordered a few from one of the sellers that charged much less for the item but added a flat shipping charge. This way the price of the sponge came down to about half for quantity of 4 (which I needed for multiple sessions).

These work great for the initial cleaning of Spectralock epoxy grout
These work great for the initial cleaning of Spectralock epoxy grout. Use these to loosen any grout on the tile surface with an easy circular motion. It takes a couple of passes for the cleaning solution to start to work effectively. These will smooth the joint surfaces and leave a liquid haze. Follow up with the wiping passes using the regular sponges which seem to work far better for cleaning off the liquefied haze. Use microfiber cloths for the second cleaning one hour after the first cleaning. Do a final wipe-down with clean water then dry the surface with a dry microfiber cloth.

This sponge was in my arsenal sponges to help with cleanup and I can honestly say this did a fantastic job. This was much better
I used this sponge to do about 280 square feet of epoxy grout on a 6x36 tile. This sponge was in my arsenal sponges to help with cleanup and I can honestly say this did a fantastic job. This was much better quality than the epoxy sponges you can find at the box stores. This thicker sponge did not compress fully during use which allowed me to put some pressure on some of the cleanup areas to really get in there and clean it up. Overall when I do my roommates bedroom with tile, I will be sure to use this sponge again. Great Product!!
