Lived with one for three days
I don't own one of these but would. I rented a B&B that had this as a heater (I asked the owners what unit they had, and this unit what they responded with.) It was a two room basement apartment and not all that cold outside, but I liked that this had a blower on the bottom. I don't know how old it was at the time either and can't comment on useful life; but I asked about it because I definitely would get one for space heating in my own house, based on my experience with theirs. YMMV as always.
