They go in smooth and even though it is the little ball it doesn’t hurt to put them in and it isn’t too small that it pops out easy. These did not work out as we thought, they are very cute and sparkle lots, the bar though is very short and the ball at the end of the bar is to small and the rings fall out very easily. It came with a variety of sizes I just with they would stay in place.
