Didn't work effectively for ceiling mounted light fitting
I wanted these bulbs to go in an outside porch ceiling fitting so that they would activate when it's dark and someone approaches. However, I found that, while the dusk to dawn bit worked well, you had to almost touch the light fitting before the bulb switched on. So, that makes it virtually useless as an front door light. I did raise this with the vendor and, to be fair, they sent me another bulb without any fuss. Unfortunately, it behaved the same as the first one. I can only assume that the light fitting itself was blocking the RF signal. My fitting was horizontal attached to the ceiling, which may also be a reason, although the description says it should work in that situation. So, based on my experience I could not recommend these, at least for a celling mounted light fitting that encloses the bulb.

Move rapidly 5cm from the bulb and it works. Otherwise nothing.
The problem I have found is that when I have got close enough with my hand to get it to switch on there is the risk of breaking the bulb with the frantic movements I have to make to get it to respond. Obviously very poor quality control. Some reviewers happy, others say too sensitive and others like me find that you have to get very close for any response.

We purchased these (rather sceptically) to work on our external wall lights in our drive. We thought because they were not up above a person, that they wouldn't work but they do! We even tried them in lamps in our house and yup, worked again. Very please with the bulbs and gives enough light to see where you're coming up the drive.

Two bulbs received. One does not work 50% fail not much else to say. Will get money back and buy elsewhere!

Great for lighting porch
Great lights, really bright and they work through our glass lanterns on the front of the house. Unfortunately one light arrived damaged but after contacting customer services we were sent a new one two days later. Would recommend.

Great product
What a great product. Well packaged and arrived very quickly. Take it out of the box and screw it in the light fitting and hey presto job done. It has transformed my ordinary outside light to an excellent security light that comes on the moment you open the front door. Very pleased!

Does what it says but not very bright

Waste of money
I placed these in an outside latern and the sensor would not pick up my movement unless I was closer than 30cm. These are anti stumble bulbs and not suitable for patio lighting.
