i always prefer varta batteries now due to their quality and lifespan. work well and provided great power for electronics. highly recommended.

The batteries perform well. They seem to last and they’re competitively priced. Not sure why this size is advertised as suitable for remote controls and clicks which, in my experience, generally use AA or AAA rather than 9v which tend to be for radios or higher power sucking items. Bought these for a metal detector and so far, with bouts of use lasting up to an hour or so at a time, they’re working well.Also, they’re made in Germany, not China as stated in the product description.

Bought to insert in my household smoke alarms - these batteries fitted perfectly.Given the potential life-saving aspect of a smoke alarm as well as the hassle of getting the ladder out to get up to them, I insist on only using high quality branded batteries for the alarms. I will use cheap batteries from time to time in children's toys but never in a smoke alarm.Vartra is an excellent German brand which has led the car battery market for decades and their household batteries are high quality too. This pair were made in Germany.Recommended.

First of all the 9V block batteries are made in Malaysia and not as per description in Germany - please correct the information.Packaging blister was already opened and in general the packaging has signs of long storage.Got 4 batteries - tested voltage at 9.55V on all for. If needed I'll follow with a performance review (in case bad storage conditions affected it's life span and performance).BB date on all 4 batteries: Dec 2026
