Such a good family game

Fun game ideal to play with children

This comes ina nicely packaged cardboard box.In the box, you get the One Trick Pony, 1 Cowboy Hat, 1 Hay Stalk, 1 Rock, 1 Fence, 15 Animals, 1 Spinner, and Instructions.You do need to buy 3 AA batteries which is annoying if you don't check and give it as a gift and don't have batteries in the house!!You need to spend a couple of minutes setting everything up - build the pony, put the battery in the base unit etc.Once you turn the game on the pony starts to spin the lasso with a 'yeehaw.The idea is you try to get the item instructed by the spinner by putting your hand through the loop of the lasso.Every now and then the lasso tightens and you get caught.This is a fun game requiring no skill at all with a huge chance element to it.It is the kind of game young children will really love - my two grandsons aged 6 and 8 love it and it causes much giggling when others get caught.I do feel that the price it o on the high side though and feel £15 is probably what is a fair price rather than the £26.99 it is at time of review.

This is a great game to play with the whole family, as its a game of speed and chance.Inside the box you get the pony that requires minimal putting together (Hat, arm, tail and straw), the base unit, fence, animals to be collected, spinner board and instructions. The base unit takes 3 AA sized batteries for the game to start.Once everything is clipped together and you are ready, turn the unit on which is met with a "yeehaw" from the horse (pony), and to start the game you press the button on the top of the unit. At this point the lasso spins into action and forms a spinning loop/hole that you put your hand through to pick up whatever the spin of the spinner board tells you to get.At certain times, the lasso will tighten and grab your hand which is where the chance element comes in.Games like this are a great addition to the toy box, as the grandchildren are going to love playing this when they come round. Great fun
