A little tricky to put together at times and fiddly to get some of the bits out of the template - so wouldn't recommend for a youngster unless very patient and determined! I thoroughly enjoyed the intricate detail and following the logic of construction. All parts were accurate and fitted together well with only a little glue needed (included). It plays Orpheus quite well, lights flash and it makes a very good pen holder too - if you position the arms out :)

This is the third ROBOTIME kit I have purchased. The first one being the Waterwheel which I really enjoyed building and had no problems at all. This one however has a minor quality issue. A couple of the parts have been incorrectly cut (big chunk has been laser cut out of one), and one of the ply sheets has unbonded which is a real disapointment. As it's wood this is repairable but detracts from its looks and are issues that I shouldn't have encountered. The music box gives quite a resonance through the wood when playing so it sounds terrible (which a thin rubber mat would have likely resolved) so it is not an item that would really go on show once built.On the plus side, this has been fun to build so far and is not overly expensive. I have resolved most issues to a reasonable satisfaction but as stated, they are issues that I shouldn't have had. I still have the Clock kit that I also purchased that I havn't started yet and I am hoping that these problems are a one off.

This was my first model of this type. It is fairly easy to assemble if you follow the step by step instructions.I found sanding off some square edges helped fit the pieces together. A small tube of white glue is supplied and if used sparingly will do the whole model.My biggest complaint is that the instructions, while clear, are very small. Certain stages need careful study and the small drawings make it difficult. I used a copier to enlarge certain stages which helped. If you can’t do this get a magnifying glass. The musical movement is very clear and tuneful and fits into the submarine easily.A good model but not for small children or novice model makers.

My son loves building models so this will keep him occupied for hours

My husband loves these kind of models and in the winter months they keep him entertained for hours. This particular one is just a bit different. For starters it comes with a musical box that plays fly me to the moon. The pieces are extremely well cut and pop out of the frames easily. These are never really straight forward and I would say not for under 12’s. This one will take several hours to complete. You can paint the pieces before assembly if you want to but this will prolong the process. At the moment my husband is half way through and it’s really starting to look fab. This is ideal for anyone who loves a puzzle with a difference and especially good for any young adults interested in construction.

My 54 year old husband has always been a Lego fan and I wanted to buy him a grown up version. He found it quite challenging to build, as has lots of really intricate parts. He found it both frustrating and satisfying to build. The end result looks great and the musical element works well. Overall I'd say it was a good purchase.

Product itself is great but the battery is missing contacted the company who said they were unable to send one which is fine but it’s one of those little expensive batteries which means I have to go out and buy it. The pack says battery included!

Lo compré para un regalo de Papá Noel. A mi chico le encanta montar maquetas y buscaba algo para poner después en la habitación de la enana, decidí coger rotuladores y pintarlo después de su exitoso montaje.La madera hace que queda una maqueta muy bonita en diseño.

Veramente troppo bello. Appena è arrivato non vedevo l'ora di montarlo. Assemblarlo non è stato facile, ma sta lì il bello. La canzoncina del carillon non mi fa impazzire e credo ci sia anche qualche nota sbagliata, ed è un peccato. Ma montato il coniglietto è troppo carino. Ottima idea regalo, e credo che ne comprerò altri, devo per forza avere pure il robottino.
