The product description of this set isn't what's in the photo or what you get in the blister pack. There's no sanguine pencil or sepia. You get 2 graphite, a charcoal, a white, a Carbone pencil and Pierre Noire. The Pierre Noire is a lovely rich blackest black pencil, looks a shade darker than the charcoal pencil in this set. There's no shine off this like black like we get with soft dark B leads in graphite. The Carbone pencil has a dark and strong lead I noticed a very slight sheen off heavier application, though nowhere as much as with graphite. The white has a very hard lead, it lightens, used over other pencil work but it isn't a perfect opaque white, it looks slightly transparent

I wanted to see what the different types of pencils do (carbon, pierre noire, graphite, charcoal) so this is a great set for experimentation - and oh boy, they are radically different! The cylindrical and slightly chubby shaft is very comfortable.

Nice pencils but the colours do match how they are shown in the amazon photo - in the photo they look decidedly green but in real life they are in fact grey. The pencils are the same ones - the numbers show this - it's just the tone of the image in the amazon add that is wrong.

This was a gift for a student

I was sent the wrong pencils, iordered the£7-75 set with the green tints and the white pencil but I was sent the £5-99 set and three of them were broke so I guess when I try to sharpen them they will keep breaking.

New brand for me, nice quality and great lay down of product. very good price.

Not the cheapest but these are great quality pencils, great for black part work.
