Happy mechanic.
Great tool, I work in the train industry and this is great for removing M6, 8 and 10 bolts. The control on the trigger is perfect for getting those low torque settings (10 to 13Nm) when refitting. Nice size, especially with the internally mounted battery (unlike the unwieldy but (obviously) more powerful 1/2" drive gun), gets in to the nooks and crannies. Pretty light as well, even with battery. Bought this as a bare unit due to work having the batteries and chargers (we use the 1/4" bit Makita). The retaining ring on the 3/8 drive is very stiff, and getting a socket on and off can be troublesome, but I like that, as the socket/extension/knuckle won't drop off. Always been impressed with Makita products, and this hasn't let me down. Batteries last a good while, even though small. Solid unit, and very happy with my purchase.

Quite powerful for the size
Used on motorbike restoration. It won't undo rusted nuts but is very useful little tool, highly recommend

Recommend to anyone!!!
Purchased this little beauty for the sole purpose of removing 13mm head M8 bolts for side panels on Heavy FLT. I am massively impressed with this little gun.Firstly it is so comfortable to use the handle is perfect and much nicer compared to the Snap-On 3/8 gun my colleague owns. And a fraction of the price.Power, again what a surprise this little gun has a surprising amount of loosening power and tightening isn’t as great but still amazing for the price. This has replaced most of ratchets as if space is there it is used.Battery life is more than adequate a charge lasts me a working week of regular use. However I don’t use it all the time I do use other tools and for what it’s use is the battery again is great however I have only had it a few months, long term I am unsure but even if the battery only lasts me a year it’s £25 a year all parts of this set (charger+battery+gun) are all sub £40 so again it’s relatively inexpensive to replace.Great product would recommend to anyone who needs to make time in the working day as this gun is massively versatile and efficient.

Best tool for assembly or disassembly controlled power
I was worried I was too week to do any work. It can be relied to do up and undo M8 without question. I tried this with a bold in the vice M8 It nearly got as far as stripping its thread. Do not forget a bold in vice is a heavy mass so maximum torque work have been allowed. I undid the Nut and all was ok however it was close.Do not expect to unfasten any wheel nuts but for general work this tool is great. You can also put a driver adapter into it. This tool is a must for any mechanic mower plant shop.Best thing is adjustable speed and power can allow the user to govern the torque and power not like my air gun.Batteries can be purchased cheap however a good charger is allays recommended. I purchased a popper Makita battery because you get what you pay for in these types of tools.

Mini mak
Very nice mini mak. I just leave it as display. Beautiful. I used this for smaller jobs. Saves so much time with tightening nuts and bolts. I used it to tighten and fasten a vice to my work top. I can see me using it on my sons smal 50cc pitbike often. Perfect power level for small jobs.
