Hi BillNo, it's specifically for mini VHS tapes. I tend to use a mini DV camcorder to capture those type of tapes. I assume you haven't now got your Sony camcorder, just the DV tapes? If that's the case I can help get the tapes in file format, or for longevity, like me, you could buy an old camcorder that uses mini DV tapes from eBay
