Le Xpress Milk Frother Jug, Stainless Steel, Silver, 650 ml

This milk jug stands out from the crowd for two reasons. It's got a fantastically wide lip to pour from and the "bulbous" bottom. For general use as a jug, these aren't particularly appealing features but when you're going to use it for steamingh/frothing milk for your coffee both are great things to have.The broad, non-pointed mouth of the jug makes spooning or free-pouring frothed milk much easier than your usual pointed pouring spout. Sweeping off the froth or holding it back is much simpler.The bulbous base serves as a useful guide for pouring your milk - indeed I almost always fill to the top of the bulge which gives me enough milk for two drinks and plenty of space for froth on top. It also seems to help with the actual frothing, whether it helps the milk circulate better with the steam or that it makes swirling the milk while it's being steamed a little easier I'm not quite sure - but since using this jug, the quality of the milk foam from my coffee machine steam wand has greatly improved.The "wire" handle does a good job of keeping any heat from your fingers and the stainless steel finish wipes clean easily, but it's also dishwasher safe should cleaning become too much of a chore.All things considered, it's a great jug for steaming milk with your home coffee machines - highly recommended.

This jug is bigger than most, which is great as I love a lot of froth on my cappuccino. I previously bought one to go with my machine but it would overflow or I didn't get the milk and froth ratio I wanted.Only downside is the handle, seems sturdy enough but would prefer it to be solid.

Just purchased a new ' Bean to Cup ' Espresso machine & wasn't sure what to use to froth the milk in for the perfect Cappuccino or Latte at home. China & glass got a bit hot, Pyrex jug is to tall. So had a quick scout round & came across this cute bulbous bottomed, wide lipped shiny jug !!Washes easily ( & is dishwasher safe ) which is good for anything thats had contact with milk. I purchased this in conjunction with the following item - Andrew James Milk Frothing Thermometer, High Quality Grade 304 Stainless Steel - Nifty little thing clips on to the side of the jug which is just as well as when using the milk frothing wand on the machine you need one hand to hold the jug & the other to operate the ' start / stop ' button !! Stop frothing when you get to 140 degrees as that is about as hot as you'd really want it. But do be sensible & adjust the temp you stop at if heating the milk for a child or elderly person.Perfect frothed milk for the whole home brewed coffee experience. Just add your favourite biscuits to suit :-0)

I bought this jug to replace one that was the same which the handle had fallen off. Had this jug for 13 months and guess what, the handle has fallen off. It has not been abused in any way shape or form. The welds (one spot weld each side holding the handle on) can barely be seen. I would class this product as not fit for purpose. Don't buy it.

We bought this over 10 years ago, to use with a coffee machine to Froth milk.It's been used weekly, and still looks like new. Well made.It heats up, but that's expected as it's metal, being warmed up my steamed milk.

Nice and sturdy product with wide pouring lip, but too big or too wide?! Couldn't use it with the De'Longhi Icona unless the jug is at least half full with milk since the nozzle on the Icona is not long enough to reach the milk. So great if you need milk for a latte or two, but not if you just want to make a cappuccino!

Good quality product, I totally agree with all the positive comments on the other reviews. But the jug is very tall. I have a De'Longhi Icona and it is right on the limit for height, if not slightly too tall. If you are only making enough milk for one coffee the spout only just gets into the milk.

Brilliant jug for creating frothy lattes and cappuchinos. Perfect height for fitting under my Dualit Espressivo machine and has transformed the quality of latte. Previously the lattes were okay but not great and I thought it was the machine - how wrong I was! Machine is brilliant - it was all down to the jug and having one with enough volume to swirl the milk as you're steaming and allow for the froth. If you like lattes and are disappointed with the 'frothiness' of your machine then give this is go - it'll be money well spent.
