Original is best
These pesky batteries are so expensive. Once you fall down the rabbit hole of researching the damage potential of a third party battery, it's easier to buy the original.Other batteries offer better price and I've owned 3rd party ones before without issue. If you can afford it, buy it. If it's an investment out of reach for a single battery when cheaper well rated options are available, have a look around.

4 years later and still going strong.
It is very hard to justify the price. However, me buying a Fuji I knew that I was going to pay premium for everything. After 4 years it's the only functional Fuji battery I have left, the one that came with the camera and the one I bought extra with the camera are both dead. With that being said, it's becoming dated and newer cameras use different batteries so I for the first time, instead of buying the original again (this item) I bought a 3rd party battery.Haven't tried the 3rd party yet, but it was two batteries for half the price of this one.I'll stick with the 5-star rating - it's very likely the best performing W126S battery out there, but not a great value.

Perfect as a back up battery for travelling
Didn’t want to risk using third party batteries. This arrived and is perfect. The same as the battery that came supplied with the camera. No issues so far.

Does the job
Works well and seems to hold charge reasonable well. Good price.

For adventures
This review short on actual usage from full but some early points. First thing is no end-cap for carrying rather a transparent pouch for the same. Second point is visually the same as one supplied with camera except UK over CA next to bin symbol on new battery. Third was it came barely charged at one bar in battery indicator, I decided to charge in camera rather than non Fujifilm double charger. It charged in 2 to 3 hours but was never tepid to touch either on camera or USB unlike the 2 batteries supplied with charger. If it seems to be lasting well I will purchase another in next few weeks. £45 for such a small battery makes one doubt the idea of justice in the universe. In other words one has to sleep on it. With it.For travelling to far off lands where a USB is a kind of insect.

Top Quality Original Fuji.
Purchased directly from Amazon, the battery I received was a genuine Fujifilm branded item. I had the choice of cheaper OEM versions of course, but I've experienced quality issues with budget power sources in the past, and since my X-T2 is an expensive piece of kit I prefer to play it safe and use the original, especially as Amazon sell it at a decent discount. As many Fuji fans will know, this battery pack won't keep your camera powered for as long as some may like, especially if you're using burst mode, power boost or a lot of flash or screen time. But that's not the fault of the battery, which was designed to be smaller in order to keep the camera bodies pleasingly compact. I've developed the habit of automatically powering down my camera when I'm not using it, and that makes a huge difference. With the power grip attached and a total of three batteries I get an entire day of shooting. You may have noticed that Fujifilm sell two different batteries with very similar codes: the NP-W126S, and the older NP-W126. This newer and upgraded 'S' variant has additional electronic circuitry inside that protects it against over-heating in high drain situations, and is also said to improve current output. If you do use a non original battery your Fuji camera will warn you it isn't genuine. You can override the warning and choose to continue, but I it will invalidate your camera warranty if problems ensue.

A reliable long lasting battery for your Fuji cameras
Although manufacture's batteries are rarely good value, they do guarantee performance. I have tried a number of 3rd party batteries for my current Fuji camera the X-T3 and they have all failed prematurely. The Fuji batteries last easily for 2 to 3 years and maintain up to 80% of their life until they basically do not take a charge. I buy new batteries yearly in general, but have not had to do so with these batteries (I have been using Fuji cameras since the release of the X -T1). Thoroughly recommended and the only way to guarantee performance for Fuji cameras.
