Salon-quality results at a fraction of the cost!
I've had several Shellac manicures in the past and I love them, but they are too pricey for me to indulge in regularly. After months of dithering about whether to buy my own lamp and looking at several different products, I bought the NailStar® UV lamp from Amazon and, after a very speedy delivery, I settled down to do my own shellac manicure. To be honest, I expected to make a mess of it - I'm not a professional nail tech - but after only 40 minutes I had 10 beautiful, glossy nails that I'm proud of! The lamp was very straightforward and simple to use. It has different timer settings and a 'constant' setting (because different brands of polish require different curing times). The instructions are clear and I was very happy with how easy it was to use. The opening is wide enough to put your toes in, so it is suitable for pedicures as well as manicures. I'm really pleased with my purchase and the reasonable price I paid - less than the cost of a manicure at a salon.

Better than the lamp the beauticians shop had!
It is a good lamp, cures the UV gel polish, the dryer has a button to set the timer for 2mins....very easy to set up just needed to insert 4 lightbulbs into it, after sliding the base out to make it easier. Each coat needs cured for 2 minutes.I was new to shellac nails and had it done once in a salon for a night out recently...her UV lamp wasn't working right, seemed the timer kept turning off and I had to re-insert my hands as it wasn't doing the 2 minutes. She should buy one of these! I didn't go back to the nail bar, just simply invested in my own UV lamp, various uv gel polishes,it's good knowing I won't need to go to a nail bar EVER again and get robbed blind!I have done my toe nails too! (Feet can also be put under the lamp )Top tip, buy pre-injection skinwipes , available very cheaply, they are called 70% isopropyl alcohol, and rub along nails to take off any tackiness from your nails final coat.

Excellent product.
This product is very well made, and excellent value for money. In fact for the price I was amazed at the size and quality of dryer. The only part I am disappointed about is it doesn't have a fan. I know it says very clearly on the product information NOT FOR NAIL POLISH, but when I went to my local salon, my nails were dried using a nail dryer. I decided to,purchase this nail dryer, thinking it would do the same, but unfortunalty no fan. Admittedly I haven't tried it yet, other than switch it on. It has two time settings and bulbs are supplied. Some might say, why didn't you return it, but it wasn't until I had put the bulbs in and turned it on, that I realised. It may still work. For anybody who does use shellac and gels polish, I am sure it is a fab investment.

SEEMS EXCELLENT VALUE, SO FAR .....
I was expecting to pay far more than this for a CND lamp, but wasn't sure how good I would be at doing my own shellac nails. This seemed like a cheap solution to find out if I could do it.Had some difficulty in plugging lamps in, but that was due to my weak hands/wrists & being scared I might break the lamps. Also be careful when removing protective film, that you don't pull off foil sheet.Got a DIY expert to fit lamps for me & he had almost no problems, but they are a tight fit - you wouldn't want anything else though would you?Very similar in overall size to ones used in salons. Does not have a fan, so operates silently. I haven't encountered any heat problems whilst in use, but I only do one hand at a time. No problems with using on my feet either.Only suitable for shellac or gel nails, NOT for use with regular varnish.Curing times vary according to the particular manufacture of shellac/gel you use. Have seen a couple of complaints about product not drying properly - this does not happen - if you know what you are doing & have decent product knowledge.Saying that, you don't need to be a professional nail tech to get a fabulous result.Very happy indeed with this lamp, it works perfectly with CND Shellac products. It was delivered a week ago & I have used it 3 times with excellent results. The reason for only 4**** rating is due to numerous people requesting info on what/where to buy replacement lamps but Seller has not provided these details so far. If he does so I will be pleased to up my rating to 5*****. Come on Joshua get to it .....*_*

Good solid product. Would certainly recommend it.
A very nicely made and compact product. Arrived on time and was well packed. I actually bought this as an aid to help me produce small printed circuit boards and it functions perfectly.Very good value for money and suitably robust. It should also work very well on curing Shellac Gel nail products (which I assume is its real purpose!!). In reality my wife also uses this for her nails and now says that she would not use anything else. Now that I/we have use it for some time I can guarantee that this is a great product and excellent value for money.Just one last thing: would it be possible for the manufacturers of this device to produce one that would take 2 hands, side by side, at the same time. I could then produce wider Printed Circuit Boards!!

Would be perfect if it would work
Update: bought replacement bulbs and the lamp still not working so I guess it's just died after a few months of use. Shame because I liked it first :(I bought this lamp around 3 months ago, it did really well, loved it because it's lovely, but it stopped working when I last used it, the machine light is on but apart from that no reaction if I press a button. Might be the lightsbulbs, but might be mechanical too. Will try to order some new bulbs to see if that'd make a difference, but if not, then it's quite disappointing that it stopped working after 3 months :(

No complaints!
Great little lamp that seems to cure my gel polish fully, unlike the rubbish little LED ones, which is good since uncured product can cause allergies. Great price too.
