Sam Splint 36 Inch Orange Leg and Arm Emergency Splint

This is an essential bit of kit. We see hundreds of broken wings per year. Then splinting is needed, this is the ONLY ONE we suggest using. Safe, mouldable To any size bird above a dove, all the way to golden eagles. Fantastic product. Simply cut to size, round all edges, and after bone is set and medication+ bandage applied, this is gently but firmly wrapped around affected area and pressed into desired shape. Wrap immediately with elasticated cohesive bandage in recommended manner ‘depending upon wound location, (figure of 8 or directly to body) and setting is complete. Only wish the rolls were larger! We are constantly in need of this product.

Cracking kit, frec 4, 10+ years fire and 3 months shy of foundation para degree.I have used a variety of immobilization kit, ferno, vac splints ked ect.These have the advantage over them in cost and weight and ease of carrying. For an initial immobilization and stabilization before further care these are great.Light weight, compact ECT have a few of these in an initial response or edc bag really good addition.Need a minimum of 2 though for most long bones or joints.

I bought this to add to a first aid kit intake bouldering and climbing. It rolls up to about the size of a coke can and is very light. Carry a roll of tape to secure it. Have practiced applying it at home, and gives a good level of immobilisation. Hope I never need it for real!

I will be quite happy if I never have to use this but it seems to tick all the boxes as a temporary splint. The material it is made from curves easily in both directions and has the warmth and firmness you would expect from compressed foam. It takes up little space in the first aid kit and will be very useful if I ever need it.

Does what it says. Sam slints are an adaptable splint which can be shaped for use. A very capable part of any medics kit.

Really good used for a lamb and was excellent Vet one really expensive just cut it down to size and worked perfectly

These were replacements for those which have been used, great product so easy to manipulate and form. Makes such a difference in emergency patient care.
