Cheap way to attempt a fix.
When my drivers side (typical!) wiper stopped working I traced the fault to one of the linkage ball joints popping undone. I have an old Peugeot 307 and a new linkage is a small fortune so I thought at a fiver for two I would give these clips a go. They are easy enough to fit once you have accessed the mechanism. However I must say I'm not wholly convinced of the security of the clip as it did not seem to fit particularly securely. My attempt to add a cable tie failed as the tie kept getting thrown off by the mechanism when in motion. However the wipers are still working a couple of weeks later, either the clip is working better than I feared or the ball joint is not particularly dodgy in the first place. Its well worth a try at the price though and its possible I should have tried to fettle the clip a little as some reviewers have mentioned.

Worked fine on Toyota (2007 Prius) with a little fettling of the balljoint cup - should do the job for most other models
These worked perfectly to repair a worn plastic balljoint cup on the wipers of my girlfriend's 2007 Toyota Prius, which left her in her work carpark with only the offside wiper working. (Cue one of "those" phone calls!)On initial fitting, the clip would not sit securely, due to the back side of the plastic balljoint cup being convex, but a few minutes work with a fine file added a small flat (ca. 1mm) to opposing sides of the dome, and the clip fitted snugly.Does it form a secure, long-lasting repair?Well, time will tell, but the clip survived me holding the wiper mechanism (including motor) by the "failed" link arm and shaking it around pretty violently, in an attempt to dislodge the clip. That's a LOT more abuse, in more directions, than the thing will ever see in normal operation, so I'm confident of the repair. I also filled the balljoint with lithium grease, to minimise any future wear, and the mechanism works silently.I'm an engineer, so initially intended to drill and tap the metal ball, and rebuild the balljoint with a small bolt and washer, but the shaft of the balljoint sits at an angle with respect to the motion of the arm, so this wouldn't have been as simple as I'd hoped. These clips have enough "spring" to safely accommodate this difference in alignment as the arms rotate, so no additional stress is put on the rest of the mechanism.I'll probably keep an eye out for a used mechanism from a later car, but one of these clips got her back on the road next day (around an hour to remove the wiper mechanism, fit and fettle the clip, and refit the wipers), without the need for open wallet surgery at the local dealer - highly recommended!

Great product..
Great little clip, not always a perfect fit on the joint but light years better than the bodged up fix I had in place. Time will tell for longevity but happy so far and keeping one in all vehicles as a good quick get me home fix that might become permanent.

Does the trick, just a little fiddly to fit.
Bought these as a stop-gap measure to fix my broken windscreen wiper joints. Had trouble fitting them at first as the access under the bonnet is restricted and they are a little fiddly. I wasn't sure that they would stay on for any length of time, but they have worked well for a couple of months so seem well worth the money.

Fiat Punto wiper linkage repair kit.
Great part is you get 2 for the price everywhere else charges for 1. Don't know if the dearer ones are any different (I suspect not) but you MUST remove the whole wiper mechanism from Fiat Punto to fit this item as it needs to be adjusted once fitted, this I found could not be done when on the car. (takes 5 minutes to remove all mechanism).Once fitted, works a treat.
