Q: Would this work with an electric/acoustic ukulele?

Hi, if by "electric" you mean your uke is fitted with pick-up(s) and a standard jack-plug socket for the lead to an amplifier. (as with electric guitars and basses) then you should be ok. Basically this Vox unit is a battery powered miniscule amplifier which you plug directly into the jack socket. You need to use it with headphones as there is no built-in speaker. I have the electric bass version which is fantastic. Hope this helps.

Q: Can you use rechargeable batteries as they only have a voltage of 1.2 volts where standard batteries are 1.5v

I use Amazon branded rechargeables with mine and get a least 4 two hour sessions from a single charge

Q: How would this work with the boss rc 3 loop station? would it work at all?

Plug guitar into rc3, then this into mono output of rc3. Not actually tried it but should work
