Recommend for jobs requiring more power, just watch your hands.
What a lump, a great asset when wood splitting, giving lots of power with it's weight. I suffer with arthritis in my thumbs and wrists, but paired with a high quality chisel, it made light work of the mega sized logs. I did start to get a blister on the side of my thumb, so you may want to wear gloves.

Excellent hammer
If you need a hammer to hit things with, this is the one to buy. It looks great in the garage too, as I always find myself drawn to it and wondering If I can use it in some way, in a way that saws and screwdrivers fail to do. My neighbour purchased one as well on my recommendation and he loves his as well. Go on treat yourself to a great hammer.

It is a hammer
Hammer is heavy in the hand, metal looks and feels good quality however the handle is more on the plastic rubber side, cant complain for the price though.

Having used this hammer metal to metal against a timber splitting wedge for a couple of hours I can honestly sayit is definitely well made. I was also confident in the knowledge that the head would not fly off the handle as has happened in the past with previous wooden handled versions.

Its a hammer short and good and heavy
Good for that extra force when working close to the object needing the hammering.People buy a 4lb hammer then complain it's heavy! Or the handle is too short. Buy a lighter one or a long version, simples.And why give the product one star because the box was empty, or no receipt, thats the seller that's the problem not the product!

Look no further for a decent hammer for Use with Hard Ground Pegs
A great hammer to take camping. It’s the perfect weight and size for knocking in Hard Ground Tent Pegs. I am sure it would also be useful for many building type applications . However it’s cheap enough to remain in my van purely for its intended purpose. I have previously used a Vango 2lb Strike Hammer and as much as I am a fan of The Vango brand it is rubbish in comparison to this beauty.

Used it to split logs for bonfire nice and heavy sturdy with a comfy handle worked perfect for what I needed
