Bee Health Propolis Liquid 30ml

Got this for my mother who was stressing about not being able to find this product. Shes a happy customer, states the taste is the same and is happy with the price then her previous supplier.

Bees collect propolis to, amongst other things, keep their hives free from infection and inhibit bacterial growth. For humans it is noted to be beneficial in treating many minor ailments including inflammations, viral diseases, ulcers, superficial burns or scalds. There is research evidence that propolis, used regularly, may actively protect against dental caries and other forms of oral disease, due to its antimicrobial properties. Propolis also has antioxidant properties and its use in inhibiting tumorigenesis is being investigated.Because of the nature of it's source, propolis contains tree resin, essential oils, waxes and flavonoids. It also contains pollen, typically about 5% and anyone sensitive to bees or bee products should be wary of allergic reaction.I have been using, and recommending, propolis for many years to sooth, even cure, toothache (using a cotton bud to dab directly onto and around the source of pain), sore throats (as a gargle) and it does seem to staunch minor bleeding from cuts and grazes whilst also helping to prevent infection.The ingredients of this particular product are listed as: High Potency Propolis 50% and M.P.G. Mono Propylene Glycol. It is very dark brown, almost black, in appearance and slightly tacky to the touch. Bee Health guarantee the bioflavonoids present in their product are naturally occurring flavonoids, with no synthetic substances added.

Really swear by this stuff. I take it most of the year (I do take some breaks just so I don't ruin its effectiveness - my own decision - not been recommended to do this - but its worked for me over the last few years) I'm a childminder and it does boost my immune system as I only succumb to about one cold per year, if that, and I'm asthmatic.I do water it down as it's not the most pleasant taste, but you know what they used to say 'if it tastes horrible it must do you good' and it does do you good !

Using this product to infuse some almond oil, to make wax food wraps, only needed 1/4 tsp. No idea what to use the rest on. The propolis was easy to use, the pippette worked great, just needed a good mix, never used it before, didn't know what to eaxpect. It was a dark brown sludge, mixed it and it became less sludgy, guess that's the consistency..

I bought this to soothe gum soreness and hopefully reverse some slight gum recession. Unfortunately, the product is not only quite messy in that it stains your teeth but also it is an alcohol based tincture, which meant that instead of helping my gums, it irritated them further. This product is mostly useful as a gargle if you have a sore throat, for example, and it could be a really useful antiseptic on wounds.For gums or other mouth problems, I would really recommend the propolis tincture from Bee Pollen Buzz (they have their own website). The tincture I buy is the water based, not alcohol based, and is the Annie's Apothocary brand. It is much more expensive than the Bee Health Propolis Liquid, but it is worth it. I find it helps soothe my gums, it tastes nice, and does not stain my teeth. It has not reversed the gum recession for me, however, although other people say it has helped them with theirs.

I love this propolis product. I use it to stave off or recover from colds, flue etc. Can mix a few drops in warm olive oil for dropping into painful ears too. But do protect any clothing or fabric from contact as it is waxy and extremely difficult to remove.I buy empty capsules add the dose to the capsule; size 00 capsules are quite big capsules so it’s easy to fit the dropper inside them.While all the above is true and I believe it can be a huge help in treating viral and possibly other infections, beware if you have a pollen allergy - i.e hayfever. This may seem daft - but I didn’t think of that until I seemed to be having a reaction to it. After all bees include pollen in the recipe 😁
