C.K Classic C6000A Piezo Electric Gas Lighter - Assorted colours , White

My parents have had the one gas cooker since they moved into their first house. It is gloriously analogue, very heavily built and very reliable. But it lacks some of the modern conveniences that you would take for granted now. There is no automatic ignition on the cooker or the oven. This gas lighter made it much easier to reach into an oven and turn on the gas, or light the ring on the gas cooker. A squeeze and it's done.It's light, easy to use and given the CK name attached to it has a certain quality.

Did the job. Lasted for three years.

We've been using these for years ... and now changing the review, as we find they don't last as long as they used to. They used to last for years and we've had a couple that broke down after a few months, I think the works are more flimsy now though the case is tough. We like them, becasue, no flame. You have to put the end quite close to the gas outlet but ours works in the oven and on the hobs. This model comes with an adhesive backed hanging hook, too, so you don't have to keep in in a drawer or knocking around your stove. We haven't had any trouble with the sticky. The unit does not work if damp, but will dry out and work again. (Same as the gas hobs.)

I liked this lighter but unfortunately only lasted 4 months and now it doesn't click anymore to light. Was hoping it'd last a lot longer for the price!

Works very well, good value for money.

Fits in the hand nicely therefore comfy to use and gives a good spark . . . . . . . but it only lasted 10 weeks before the piezo ceased generating a spark. A poor buy .

The seller's website redirected me to Calvin Klein, creating some confusion. Fortunately, Amazon's customer service stepped in promptly and efficiently resolved the issue. I received a replacement swiftly, and their service was commendable. While the initial hiccup was a drawback, the effective resolution by Amazon's customer service deserves appreciation.
