Not sure what to say about a bottle/jar opener, it well, opens screw top things.At first I found it difficult to get it to grip, but I was over-thinking it, you just open up the space, put the lid in, and twist, and the movement of the twist closes the jaws up and grips the top firmly.It is a surprisingly heavy item, but that does not matter in use, the weight is resting on the jar. I also feel that it lacks beauty, the enjoyment when using this comes purely from the ease of use.The grip is firm enough to undo every jar/top, so far, and the handle is long enough to make the job easy. The item is well made, strong and heavy, I can't imagine how this could break, I think I have finally found the bottle opener to last me to the end of my days.

I've owned one of these jar openers for years and have been trying to find one for my friend, but the prices were ridiculous. Then suddenly one appeared at the right price just before Christmas. Best jar and bottle opener I have ever used, as well as being attractive and easy to store. Please Leifheit, start producing this again!

Suffering with arthritis has made it increasingly difficult to open various items on a daily basis. This tool has provided excellent support in being able to deal with and overcome the problem.

Could not open lid off a large jar of beetroot the opener I had was too small this one did the trick without any mess pleased with purchase.

My 33yr old sister has arthritis and this product is the best we have found so far. We have now bought it for an elderly member of the family and they are most pleased with it. Definitely worth the money - each home should have one.
