Great for low cal/ carb, nicer than other brands!
I'm currently doing 5:2 and really struggling with the fact that I can't eat my own body weight in pasta (complete carb monster here). I've tried this sort of noodle in the past and it was dreadful, but decided to give this brand a try. This is by far the most palatable one I've tried. It seems much thinner than the others, and is very like rice noodles (rather than egg noodles) in both appearance and texture.I prepared it by rinsing well in boiling and cold water, then frying with low cal spray in a frying pan for several minutes, before adding stir fry veg and soy sauce. The noodles are pale yellow rather than white, which somehow makes them seem less alien! They still have a slightly odd crunchy texture to them if you concentrate hard, but overall taste just fine. I didn't notice any fishy smell, but deliberately didn't go smelling them too hard! don't think any of these products are ever going to mimic pasta exactly (sob), but as a weight loss aid, these are a very useful addition to your battle plan.

These tasted way better than I thought they would
These tasted way better than I thought they would. Hard to believe that they are so few in calories. You definitely need to jazz up with sauce or spices as they are pretty bland. The only downside is the price. But filling and tasty and would but again

Be aware of the side effects
I’ve been following a low carb diet for a couple of months now and ordered these as something different to the usual meat and green veg. Please don’t do what I did and order them without doing your research. They have lots of side effects including for me, stomach cramps, bloating and nausea and vomiting. They aren’t digested by the body at all, you may as well eat plastic. Had 2 packs and was ill twice from them. They’re a horrible texture half way between popping and crunching and the bag they come in is filled with a rancid smelling water. They taste of absolutely nothing as won’t absorb any kind of flavour. The 2 separate occasions I ate these I was awake in the early hours kneeling on the bathroom floor with my head down the bog and passing what I can only describe as “medusa” like stools. If you like throwing up and s*****g through the eye of a needle these are top notch, however if you value your insides please avoid these like Prince Andrew in a playground. If you’re undecided just google the side effects of these and make your own mind up

Good for a low calorie alternative for noodles/carbs
I thought these were the answer to my prayers, a calorie free pasta?? I personally like the taste and texture which is more like a firm rice noodle for the spaghetti and the noodle but they do seem to sit in your stomach like a brick especially if you eat them at lunch which I won't do again. If you do for dinner it's not so bad and I shouldn't complain for such a calorie low tasty alternative with your normal sauce.

I think these are actually a bit better than the ones ive had before
I've used Shirataki noodles before and so consequently I had a reasonable expectations of what to expect. I think these are actually a bit better than the ones ive had before. For anyone who has not used these Konjac (Moyu) based products here are some things you ought to be aware:1) They come in some watery substance that frankly doesnt smell very nice, almost fishy. Don't worry about it as the noodles wont taste weird.2) They also don't look great and are a bit slimy until cooked3) The noodles really dont taste of anything. The problem though is they also don't absorb flavours very well. This isn't this manufacturers fault, its endemic of Shirataki noodles. For reference, the result that works best for me is to first microwave them for 2-3 minutes. At this point they no longer translucent and texture improves. I then stir fry them with onion, garlic, ginger and some seasoning and break an egg over them. The egg sticks and does a good job of holding the flavors.

I can’t live without these
These are so good, taste really good. After you get used to them you can’t go back to unhealthy. Also you don’t get bloated at all.

produces excess wind
Not sure what to say about this! We needed something in a hurry, so while my husband usually comes up with a rather tasty noodle dish, when we had these he didn't really go to town. So I'm not sure I should criticise their blandness, noodles on their own are never exciting. The texture was *different*, not really to our liking. Our 3 year old, normally a fan of plain 'clean' noodles didn't like them. Our 8 year old didn't seem bothered. Not that long afterwards, a couple of hours or so I found myself feeling a bit bloated, this went on overnight. I must say, I weighed myself the day before, and the next morning is lost over 1 kilo, I must point out I had been running on both days, but that doesn't normally make much of difference in such a short space of time. I did regain some within days, but have gone lower still since. I think the lack of calories and a somewhat laxitive effect might have happened. My husband also complained of stomach aches for slightly longer than me. We've still got 3 of the 5 packets left. We're not going to rush into another meal with them, maybe something with fewer noodles on the side (we had 2 packets between 2 adults and 2 kids, one of whom had been fed at nursery). Not the best experience, definitely not a culinary delight, doubt I'll order them ever again. BUT, if I were earlier in my weight loss plan (I've lost 26 kilos this year) I might put myself through it again a few times, it definitely put me off eating too much else that day.

Good addition to any diet
I buy these noodles regularly. Great way to supplement a meal without the calories. A bit expensive but haven’t found a cheaper option. I only use them in dishes with sauce as they are tasteless otherwise. Rinse carefully before use as they are stored in a liquid that doesn’t smell appetising! But a few seconds under a cold tap is enough to get rid of the smell. Recommended.
