Excellent Product!
This is amazing cat litter! This litter makes cat box clean-up so much easier. It clumps very well and the best part is that it is flushable. I thought it may cause clogging but it softens and disintegrates when it hits water. I live in an apartment with 3 cats and have two litter boxes, one in each bathroom. Daily cleaning is a breeze. The tofu pellets reduce tracking and is much better than fine sand. There is a faint, sweet smell of vanilla to the litter especially noticeable when just used. However, sense of smell varies from person to person.I had always been a fan of the unscented Target brand litter, but this is better. Litter is expensive but this brand is worth every penny.

Less dust and tracking!
This was my first time trying tofu litter and I would definitely use it again. My main interest in trying tofu cat litter was:1. Minimizing dust 2. Provide a better/cleaner litter box environment for my one picky cat2. More environment friendlyBackground:I have 2 cats. One of the cats has a history of urinating outside the litter box. There are 3 litter boxes (Target Up&Up XL) two with clay litter (Tidy Cats unscented clumping) and one with Pidan. All boxes are scooped at least 2x daily, doubled lined with liners and litter changed out monthly. This review of the product is mainly in comparison to the unscented clay clumping litter.Cat appeal: 3/5. To my knowledge, only one of my cat uses the tofu litter, and to my surprise it was the picky one who uses it. There doesn’t seem to be any issues or reactions in regard to the texture of the pellets or mild scent it has. Points off just because I wish both liked it so I could steer away from clay litter.Price: 2/5. Definitely not a fan of the price. I need a minimum of 2 bags to cover and fill just one litter box, making that $30/one litter box/month. If I wanted to have an extra bag on hand to refill as it gets lower than that comes out to $45/month/litter box. However, I find that the tofu litter lasts longer in terms of odor and cleanliness and have been able to extend it to 2 months so that comes out to $15-23ish a month.Clumping: 5/5. I find the clay litter clumps will crumble and then disseminate throughout the litter, spreading the urine and making it dirtier. The tofu clumps are quite solid and don’t crumble as easily. There will be some crumbles here and there, but they are bigger therefore easier to pick and scoop out.Scooping: 4/5. Since the pellets are bigger, I had to isolate the clumps a bit before scooping as a big scoop makes it difficult to sift. A different scoop with wider slats night make it easier, but this wasn’t too much of a hinderance for me.Dust: 5/5. This doesn’t explode into a huge cloud dust whenever I scoop which always grossed me out. I also see less dusty paw print tracks throughout the house too. Tracking: 4/5. It still tracks but not even close to how much clay tracks. With clay litter, I will find small bits in the bed, across the house or on the window ledge. I will find one stray pellet here and there that’s very far from the litter, but generally I find this tracks no more than 3ft from the litter box. I do have litter track mats which helps as well so can’t speak on how that it will track without it. Odor control: 5/5. My biggest problem with clay litter was the musty smell. I don’t experience any musty smell with Pidan. I find it controls urine and stool odors well. I’ve only ever seen my cat poop once with this litter, and she doesn’t have very smelly poops so can’t speak too much on the stinky poop smell control.Scent: 5/5. It has a mild, soft vanilla scent which I like. However my partner thinks this smells mustier than the clay. And as said earlier so far this scent hasn’t been a problem for my cat.Flushability: N/A. I have an older apartment and haven’t tried flushing some of the clumps because I don’t want to take the risk so not sure on this.Other notes: I read about how if it’s too humid the clumps will get mushy. I live in an old apartment with 2 AC units and was afraid of the poor circulation/cooling system in my place would lead to mushy litter that sticks to the plastic liners. I have not had that issue. Overall, it is pricey, but I feel like it is more convenient in terms of upkeep. It helps keep a cleaner environment for both cats/litter boxes and home.

Very low dust, low tracking, low odor
I have tried a lot and I mean a LOT of non-clay cat litters. Pretty much anything that can be made into litter, I've tried it at least once. I have a favorite litter but the company went out of business years ago. Since its not likely to ever come back, this is now my top choice for litter. My previous top choice, Okocat, hit all the marks but the quality of it changed so the amount of dust and tracking became untenable. After a lot (a LOT) of searching, I came across this and decided to try it. I'm so glad I did!First off, though this is pellets, it's not large pellets like other brands. That makes it acceptable to our cats who hate the larger pellets. It takes a little more effort to shake the unused litter through the scoop, but not that much more than other litters. I recommend a scoop with larger holes. And because it's pellets that are larger than other litter particles, it cuts way down on tracking. I have to sweep around the litter box every other day and once in a while I'll find a pellet tracked into the living room but it's a far cry from my socks picking up sawdust all over the house or thick layers of pine or walnut dust covering everything near the litterboxes. The pellets can get crushed or break apart but any dust as a result is so minimal I have yet to notice after a year of using this litter. Our calico has allergies and this litter doesn't aggravate her sinuses at all, unlike dustier litters we've tried. It clumps urine VERY well. There is some breaking apart that happens but no more than other litters I've tried. It doesn't clump to feces as well but it does desiccate them enough that I don't have a big mess when the Manx decides to eat something she's not supposed to and then has...unfortunate bowel issues as a result. The litter is unscented so there's not much of a smell. When it's first opened, it has a smell that sometimes is like sweetened condensed milk, sometimes like vanilla, it's always a bit different depending on the batch, I assume. It's never unpleasant. It also keeps the cat box smell away to the point we never smell urine and only poo if the Manx has had a particularly smelly session. Once it's covered, the smell dissipates quickly. That being said, there CAN be a smell akin to old cabbage. However, that's only happened if the litter didn't get scooped in a timely manner, I got lazy and the Litter Genie got overfull, or it was a past time to change the litter and clean the boxes. And that is the only thing I would caution when it comes to whether you choose this litter. If you can't scoop every day, if you don't have a Litter Genie or disposable bags you can take out every time you scoop, then this is not the litter for you because you will have that smell of old cabbage or fermenting cruciferous vegetables. We have three high-sided jumbo litter boxes, open top, not enclosed. Two boxes get one and a half bags of litter, the third gets two bags. I scoop each box every evening, takes less than five minutes. The waste goes into a Litter Genie that I usually remember to empty weekly. Once a month I empty out the litter and scrub the boxes, then replace with fresh litter. And we have no cat smell in the house. I am perpetually paranoid that there's a smell thanks to previous experiences with other litters but so far there's been no complaints. One of our neighbors even said "I don't mean to offend you, but why does your house not smell like cats?" so I consider that a good indication that this litter and our setup is working. My one complaint is that the urine clump can stick a bit to the bottom of the box, but it comes up easily with a quick scrape and always comes off when I do the monthly box scrub. And really, I had that same issue with other litters, especially clay, so it's barely an issue. I have not had any issues with the litter turning to sludge, though I can see how that could happen if the box wasn't scooped regularly.

Amazing but just not financially sustainable
I love this litter, like really. The tracking is incredibly minimal, especially in comparison to clay litter, and I rarely ever smell the litterbox except with my kitten poos. It clumps well, making it easy to scoop, but it does sometimes stick to the scooper so it requires some cleaning every once in awhile. I haven’t really any dust, and while neither my cat nor I have allergies, it is still great to keep unnecessary dust away. The reason I’m giving it only 4 stars is really due to the price point, which is a common factor among other’s reviews. I’ve looked into possibly starting to mix this with another, cheaper tofu litter/corn litter to cut down on costs as it takes 2 bags of this to fill my large stainless steel litterbox. I also have to top off the litterbox every week/week and a half, so at the price point it’s just not the most sustainable or affordable option.
