Can fruit flies get into the container?

Unfortunately flies can still lay their eggs on the edge of the lid, even after regularly cleaning the bin and with only a small amount of organic waste inside. Disgusting maggots!

Can anyone recommend any inexpensive compostable liners that fit the brabantia sort & go 6l food waste caddy? thanks

Home bargains sell a roll of 25 10L bags and costs about a pound a roll. I have been using them for years and are very good quality. They fit these bins perfectly

Can the lid be removed for easy emptying?

Yes , it lifts completely off, and is so easy to clean. in fact the whole bin is easy to clean.
