Works a treat and cost effective!
The false nail remover i currently use is £6 a bottle and you have to use a lot so i was hoping that this cheaper acetone would be just as effective but be kinder to my wallet and i wasn't dissapointed.I wear gel polish on my nails constantly to avoid chips and breakages so anything that will aid me in the lengthy removal process is a great help. I rough the surface of my manicure up a little with a file and then wrap my fingers in cotton balls that i have dipped in the acetone and then foil to keep warmth in to aid in the melting process. I find that this process works within 5 - 10 minutes and then i am able to scrape the jellified polish away with a scraping tool. I am sure if i could wait it out for 15 minutes then i wouldn't even have to scrape!I find that removing my nails this way rather than soaking in a bowl saves product and also doesn't render you motionless whilst you wait. It also created a lot less mess than soaking in a bowl as you can just throw your wraps away and be done with it.I am very very impressed with this cheaper alternative and will 100% be reccommeding and also repurchasing myself.FYI.. ensure you use a cuticle oil (I personally like to use pure almond oil) and a good handcream after use as acetone does dry the skin out!

... product as I read on google that it was great at removing glue
Bought this product as I read on google that it was great at removing glue. I had some crystals on an item of clothing but wanted to change them for Swarovski instead as they looked better. So I looked around on Google for ideas on how to remove them without damaging the fabric. Pure acetone was suggested so I thought I would give it a go and if it failed at least I could use it for removing nail varnish.I used a cotton wool bud to lightly dab it over the crystal and then carefully peeled then off. I was really pleased as they came off no problem and the crystal remained intact if I wanted to keep them. Acetone is incredibly drying on the skin so make sure you keep your skin hydrated as I used this to remove the glue from my hands also. This removes stains off of your China, permanent marker stains, can be used to sanitize blades, rub paint off Windows and to clean your computer keyboard!! It really is a great all rounder. I recommend keeping a bottle of this as it will always come in handy. I don't use it often so this will last quite a while!

Used this to take off salon gel polish!
I bought this for my first attempt of taking off gel polish that I had done at the nail salon. It was easy! I first used a nail file to take off the shiny coating on my nails, then I soaked cotton pads in this and put them on my nails and wrap them in foil (I used the foil/aluminium foil from the kitchen), left them on for 30 mins I took them off and then used a cotton pad with this acetone on to rub off the odd bits that were still on the nail. It came off easily!Highly recommend!! This is not the same as normal nail polish as normal ones didn’t take off this polish - I tried.

Bottle leaked and corroded plastic
The acetone had leaked out of the bottle - there has been a piece of plastic put over the bottle and under the lid and it seems the lid was not secured back in place properly before shipping.

Very strong for use with dip powder
Ordinary nail varnish remover is no good. This really works. Soak cotton wool in the acetone and place over each nail. Wrap in foil for at least 10 mins. If it doesn't dissolve the first time, do it again, then wipe off any excess with more acetone on cotton wool.
