To be honest I just bought the 9v charger. You cant go wrong. You can play as long as you want and you can power up to 8 pedals. Go with the adapter.

If by tascam dp00ex you mean a multi-track recorder then yes, any sound you send into the unit will be heard by the machine and recorded correctly provided you have the right cabling to port audio into the unit.
