Perfect for controlling heat cable in outside pump house to protect pump and piping from cold weather freezing.

Expensive but Effective
Pedigree of the manufacturer was confidence inspiring. Well constructed and the only product of its type I found on Amazon that in the listing description was rated for outside use. However, when the package arrived, the accompanying instructions had many caveats and cautions about outside use in damp environment. Range of operation seems too high with it turning on at 39 degrees, wasting energy

Very handy.
I use them to control heating in a couple of chicken coops. Also to turn on emergency heating at our cabin if the temperature drops too low.

Works
It works well. Using for small electric heaters in motorhome water bays to keep from freezing. I've tried the plastic ones that you just plug in then plug into devices. The small plastic ones just don't last long or won't come on even below 32°. Yes this one cost more but it's worth it because it works pretty close to specified temperatures.

This is a very quality piece from a good company. I did not get it to work as it was just a bit too short for the use I wanted it for.

Works good for pluging into outlet
Most your therma cubes you cannot plug into the outlet, which then leaves them exposed to elements. This you can plug into your outlet.works best for like under your house. I am giving it 4 because like all them, they dont shut off until 50. If you live in a cooler climate your temp rarely gets over 45, it defeats the purpose of not having your heaters or heatlamps or what ever your using, run all the time. They should shut off around 40, and turn on around 32 . Like today its 40 and my water trough is steaming. I have switched some of mine to outdoor timers. So they are on at night off during the day.
