Lovely pencils so smooth to draw with and add water to. Good quality and a variety of 5 different pencils with a tin to keep them in.

When I first heard of these I was sceptical. I love to paint watercolour but my sketching skills are sadly lacking so I need to practice and erase a lot. This isn’t great for the paper. These pencils were a game changer. You draw, erase less, and the guidelines disappear when you paint over them no matter how light/thin the wash is. The tin is great too. Compact and light enough to carry around.

These are just the job for what I wanted - drawing lines on damp wood for carving projects and would be equally useful on stout watercolour paper drawing in wet or dry.Unlike ordinary graphite pencils, which leave an indistinct grey line on anything damp, they will draw a positive and decently clear black line due to the water soluble nature.

I've always struggled with paper art, always favouring digital as I struggle to get my shading to look even when i use pencils, but these absolutely change the game!! they make layering shades really easy, and you can build depth really well!I will say though, use thick paper and don't ever draw over wet areas with them as they'll leave a dark black line that doesn't fade whatever you do. I've ruined a couple of pieces through trial and error with these but once you get the hang of them you'll never go back!

New addition to my stash. I really enjoy using these. I love the way they blend out. If you add water to an already drawn image, you will lose the pencil mark. I really like that ,because you can’t say that for regular watercolor pencils. These are excellent for black and white studies… and shading. Overall I think they’re a great product and I will be purchasing them again.

Une belle découverte pour moi. Les crayons sont fantastiques en aquarellables. Très facilement solubles avec l'eau, s étalant comme une peinture sans laisser de traces. Bon compromis pour s'initier à l'aquarelle. Ce n'est pas trop pour moi la peinture, étant plus dessin aux graphites, fusain etc...on peut facilement les associer à d'autres techniques, et le rendu est magnifique. Superbes en qualité, correspondant tout à fait à la réputation de la marque Faber Castell. Je les recommande.
