This is one of the most beautiful true stories of a Saint that i have ever read, & i have read a few! To go with her, on every step of her journey, from the moment she decided to become a nun, to entering the convent & of course the birth of the Divine Mercy...well, its emotional, endearing but also very spiritually uplifting too. I loved every single moment of it, every page of this truthful, sorrowful, powerful diary. Its so incredibly moving to read of her deep understanding of God & the relationship she had with him. She describes in wonderful detail the beautiful messages he gave her continuously & of the powerful visions she encountered throughout her vocation too, & although she suffered so terribly on her journey to the Kingdom of Heaven, & at times your heart breaks for her pain, there is also a huge part of you that will envy her for knowing God so closely & so intimately in a way that we could only ever imagine. She truly restores your faith & stirs all the emotions of your heart & soul. I could not be without her now. I have her Diary next to my bed & almost everyday i read a verse, or a page or a poem she wrote & once more & i am renewed. PLEASE PLEASE read this story, it will remind you of why we are here & of how LOVE & FAITH can change your soul forever if you just TRUST in God......GODBLESS YOU ALL xxxx

Helpful aid to Prayer
I recently watched a film about the life of St Faustina and prayed her Divine Mercy devotion in church on Divine Mercy Sunday.I was struck by her humility and simplicity and wanted to know more about this humble Polish nun,so I bought her Diary which was not expensive for such a gem.She writes very simply for a lay person to understand and her way is easy to follow. She is particularly good at describing those times when faith is difficult and this gives hope to us when we are struggling. If a great Saint can suffer 'darkness' and emptiness how can we be surprised when it happens to us in the midst of our own busy lives and trials.A great little book and a really good aid to prayer. I would recommend it

The Divine Mercy Devotion
Great book. It is deep, showing the inner life of a saint and how Jesus taught her throughout her life in the convent. You will love the devotion to the Divine Mercy by the time you have finished this book! It is comprehensive, the layout is clear and user friendly. One of the best books for insight into Jesus and His love for humanity as our merciful Saviour.

A penetrating look at one souls walk of faith.
An extraordinary window in to the life of one devoted to Union with the Lord. Sometimes extravagant and more like the imaginings of a romantic it never the less calls every Christian to a deeper truer walk of faith, love and obedience to the God of all creation.

Great for details on The Divine Mercy
This book is a great addition for anyone devoted to The Divine Mercy. It fills in more detail of St Faustina and her trials. It also provides insight into the experiences she had with Jesus and how she managed these graces in her day to day life. Being a diary it is not a flowing narrative but an extensive series of short descriptions, events and encounters. This makes it easier to read short snippets at a time but doesn't allow for ease of following the story of her life as a narrative. This is a very long book and I have only scratched the surface with it but I am looking forward to reading more-a little everyday.

How to have your life changed
I've heard that some people don't like this diary, for whatever reason. I haven't heard specific reasons. However, this book is a masterpiece.Firstly, it has stellar spiritual advice which echos St. John of the Cross, St. Teresa of Avila and the Gospel- in an easily understood format. That means that it's up to the highest standard of the Church as regards teaching about prayer and spiritual progress. Secondly, it contains the message of God's mercy in particular which is literally impossible to understand and get your mind around. It also has a detailed account of the interior dispositions of a canonized Saint, and how they approached life's situation while living perfectly the grace of God. The only thing I would say is that scrupulous souls should understand how many fault St. Faustina talks about that she confesses are imperfections, and these may be confessed. But just be careful to understand that her soul is so pure the merest specks of dust are bothersome. That is the only thing that could go wrong, if you were at the same time ignoring all the bolded words from Jesus which are pure mercy. This book changed my life at 14, and I've read it 3 times cover to cover, comparing with other spiritual classics. This is pertinent to our times, and very worth the read. It's so packed with interesting anecdotes as well that one doesn't feel it's long.I'd recommend for anyone discerning a vocation to religious life, as the motivations of a religious are explicit in their perfect form, as they are in the works of St. Therese.Buy! Read!

End Times and Eternal Life. The King of Mercy.
This is the Diary of Sister Maria Faustina Kowalska. Particularly interesting is the reference Jesus makes to His Second Coming in the Glory in the End Times.Indeed He says: «Write this: before I come as the Just Judge, I am coming first as the King of Mercy. Before the day of justice arrives, there will be given to people a sign in the heavens of this sort:All light in the heavens will be extinguished, and there will be great darkness over the whole earth. Then the sign of the cross will be seen in the sky, and from the openings where the hands and the feet of the Savior were nailed will come forth great lights which will light up the earth for a period of time. This will take place shortly before the last day (Diary, 83).» A Question arises: is Jesus predicting to Faustina Kowalska (1905-1938) about the “Tribulation, Warning, Miracle, Permanent Sign and Chastisement” which Our Lady told in Garabandal, Spain, in 1962? Only time will tell us.In the meanwhile we know for sure that Jesus appreciates the efforts to make Him recognized as King of Mercy. Indeed He said to Maria Valtorta (1897-1961), an Italian mystic:«Make Me-Mercy, and my prayers to Sister Maria Faustina known to as many as you can. Every soul that you bring to Me-Mercy increases you a degree of glory. If you knew what river of grace, I pour over those who pray to Me-Mercy! Let me, let me, let me be known, and every year, from Good Friday, a day always fateful for you, to Sunday in Albis, make the Novena to the Divine Mercy, to bring back to Me all those who are remembered in it.»(Source: “Little Notebooks” or Quadernetti, Cap. 773, Maria Valtorta, Centro Editoriale Valtortiano, 2006)
