Q: Do these stay on once the spring is pressed or do the deactivate when the tab is released?

The switch is controlled by the depression (on) or release (off) of the metal lever. These are not momentary (pulse) switches. I use them for end-stop sensors / switches for my 3d printer.

Q: Can this be used to switch two closed states?

I'm not sure I understand your question. The switches have three connections, and can be wired so that they are normally open (which means depressing the switch closes the circuit) or normally closed (the opposite). If you are asking if the switch can be used to simultaneously switch two separate circuits, the answer is no.

Q: Size of the mounting holes? I guess 1.8 mm? Anyone can help me measure them please? Thanks!

I tried a panel nail, it has ridges. The nail packaging says 1.83 dia. It is a somewhat tight fit. Hope this helps.
