A fantastic purchase
I am a mum who has breast fed her baby for eight months now. Although I have tried to get my daughter to take a bottle with my milk in it, she just chews on the silicone teat and laughs at me. I have tried every commercial bottle on sale and like most people do I have spend a fortune buying one of every different type. I even bought latex teats in a hope that the softer material may help.I had given up hope and intended to skip the bottle stage altogether and move over to a cup, accepting that I would just have to breast feed until she became old enough to drink a good amount from a cup or beaker. Then by chance at a birthday party another Mum told me about this bottle and explained that although her daughter didn't have special needs it was the only bottle she could use after solely breast feeding. She also warned me of the price tag!As usual my first port of call on returning home was Amazon and then I was faced with the difficult decision of spending £24 on another bottle which might not work.It arrived promptly and that afternoon my daughter took an experimental 2oz of my milk from the Medela bottle. Hooray. The best thing was that there was no fuss, no turning the head away, no forcing it into her mouth, no crying, she just starting drinking! That evening I gave her a bit more milk and again she drank it without fuss. Now she will drink formula from the bottle happily and I am one relieved Mum.I agree with one of the other reviews about the lack of a lid. Fortunately I have a lid from the Medela breast pump set which I already had, and although this doesn't fit over the large teat I can put the teat inside the bottle and put the lid on top to keep it sterile.I have never written an Amazon review before but this has been the best £24 I have ever spent!I would love to say that all babies would take to this bottle but as we know each baby is unique. My last advice would be to watch the inventor explaining how the bottle works on YouTube as this really helps with filling the unusual teat.

Simply the best!
Out of all the bottles in the world my premature girl accepted this one! I have no clue how and why! She used to hate it and cry when you try and put bottle in her mouth! And now she cries for this bottle! Wow! Amazing product! Medela is always the best!

Leaks and baby not taking it
Seen some really good reviews on here with babies fussy and not taking bottles, and the reviewer claims this works for them!So I bought it…but seriously, maybe my daughter is overly fussy! She doesn’t take bottle, sippy cups, pacifiers etc from week 12 of birth. Previously bottle feeding was fineSo I had high expectations of this bottle…She still doesn’t take, chew on the teat and perhaps (it’s not made for a 7 month old baby), because hardly any milk comes out. I think it’s more for newborns. The milk will sit in the top part of the teat, and when I squeeze it to go back in the bottle, it’s leaks out the side! Useless in my view!Returned for a refund and Amazon Prime refunded me without any issues.

Helped save the day!
When my baby was 6 months old, she suddenly started refusing her normal bottle. I tried everything but she wouldnt have it. I spent a small fortune on different types of bottles, with a mixture of success, but she never took more than 2oz. I was initially wary about buying this bottle as i was put off by the special needs name but I am so glad I changed my mind. My little girl took to this bottle almost immediately. Yes the teat looks very bizarre and I wish there was a cap for the teat but overall this bottle has helped me and my little girl. I would heartily recommend it to anyone and my only regret is that i hadn't bought it earlier!

Good bottle
Bought it for my God Daughter that has Cleft palate. Her Mum liked the bottle and it made feeding time easier.

Suitable for all babies
My baby doesn't have "special needs" but loves this bottle. No air gets into the teat so hardly any wind and very little dribbles down her front. Pricey but worth it in my opinion. Warning it is slower than other bottles.

Leaky bottle
The idea is great but the actual item is not, as the bottle leaks all the time, and seems no matter how tight you screw the lid on. Yes it does help to reduce the amount of air the baby takes in as it feeds on demand like on the boob, but am really fed up of it leaking all over my son while I am trying to feed him.

Excellent product
I braught this for puppies as this bottle is perfect the other brands of puppy bottles don’t let air back in to the bottle while feeding so it’s messy these are perfect
