Tamiya1: 35 Sturmgeschutz IV SDKFZ163 (Japan import)

I just love these old Tamiya kits from the 1970's. This went together well and was a joy to build. The kit is inexpensive for a 1:35 scale model and is great for trying out new skills. I utilized the salt technique on this model and was very pleased with the results obtained. The decals supplied allow for different versions of the vehicle, I will definitely be making a second purchase to do this. Highly recommended for all ability levels.

This Japaneese import version of Sturmgeshutz was one of the best Tamiya sets I’ve purchased so Far!The parts are clean and it is a quite easy set to put together with minimum amount of skill required.It has rubber tracks which is always a bonus,and one crew member is also included in this kit. Decent amount of detail for a realatively well priced kit.I can honestly Recommend that one👌🏼

great model at a great price. hadn't built any plastic models since i was a teenager (20 years ago!) and decided to get back into building models as a way to relax. Previously I'd built 1:72 fighter jets, so this was a little different, but i managed it easily - took about 4-5 hours in total.It's fairly simple to build, but i would suggest getting some tools to help your construction - hobby knife, sand paper etc and there's plenty of online tutorials regarding building models. So i'd rate this as a great starter modelMy next step is to get some paint and paint it....

Good value model, it's an old kit as other's have mentioned but you'll hardly notice unless you're used to super high end stuff. You have a couple of different options on how to finish it, I decided to leave the armour plates off in the end as it was just obscuring all the lovely details I'd spent time on painting. Tracks we're a bit of a pain but guess this is normal at this price point, I'd recommend you don't try to paint them unless you have an airbrush as it may just peel off, I decided to just dry brush them and they look fine

An excellent model and a good price as some 1.35 model tanks although highly detailed are getting quite expensive, the build is of the usual Tamiya excellent quality as mentioned by others its an old kit but you have a few options to finish the model and and will grace your battlefield dioramas very well .

Straight forward to build. Just read the instructions and dry fit before glueing.

Haven't done models for years..I see that tamiya are still a great build,hey tweezers are definitely needed for this one

It is somewhat dated but is good value for money.The overall fit and finish is good however some of the ancillary equipment (spare tracks and cable) are just glued directly to the tank with no mounting points.The side armour comes as one piece but I split them into individual sections and attached seperately as historic pictures of this tank appear to have them hanging that way. It also allowed me to have one missing section to show battle damage, again historical pictures show this .I am using a lot of these old and cheap models to practice and learn painting techniques and they are brilliant in that regards
