OPUX Electric Salt and Pepper Grinder Set with LED Light | Battery Operated Stainless Steel Salt Shaker, Automatic Pepper Mill | Electronic, Adjustable Coarseness, Modern Design

Have had battery powered grinders before, but they didn't have the grinding power and would jam after a while. Those had 4 AA batteries so I'm hoping these with 6 AAA batteries will last longer and with more grinding power. So far they work great. In fact, the salt works almost too well. Unless you're careful, you'll have a teaspoon of salt on your food before you know it. Use very short bursts. I'm using Himalayan salt, don't know if another salt would act differently. As I'm on a salt restricted diet, may just go back to a plain salt shaker and have two pepper grinders (maybe use black for one and white peppercorns in the other). The flash light is a nice touch and handy. Jury still out on the usefulness of the end caps. I keep forgetting to remove them before use and all I've done is fill the cap with freshly ground spice.

Saw my daughter using this salt and pepper grinder and had to get one for myself. I love it. It is a substantial size but not heavy. It grinds all kinds of salt or pepper to your preference as it has an adjustable dial that stays where you set it There are caps on the opening so salt is not spilled where you don't want it. The only drawback is the number of batteries you need but they seem to last for a long time

Having to insert 6 batteries into each one seems a bit much...That adds up and then have to be replaced often. I feel like they are not super powerful even with the 6 batteries and I keep being afraid that they will stop working and I've only had them a short time. The light is nice and one reason I chose these, but not super bright. They have a bigger capacity for the peppercorns, which is why I like these better than others I have bought for gifts. So far, I am happy with them. Have not yet tried putting salt crystals into them!

Just arrived - best $21 I've ever spent and with free Prime shipping! My old Wolfgang Puck all in one unit died and I couldn't live without my battery powered salt and pepper grinder! I love the LED light that's directed at the output so you can actually see how much salt and pepper you're using. Heavy solid stainless set with high quality ceramic grinding mechanism. Another nice unmentioned feature is the set has caps that snap on the bottoms preventing the little piles of salt and pepper grinds from accumulating on my counter after each use like the old one did. You can also adjust the grind from fine to larger particle output. Again, shocked at the bargain price for these - LOVE them - 5⛤'s!

Buying an electric salt and pepper grinder was supposed to make me feel all special inside. I mean, one-hand convenience in a sleek, futuristic brushed metal package for about $25. Of course, I should feel awesome. But the unboxing was quite underwhelming.It's certainly a frivolous purchase as the alternative is a free grinder that comes with the salt you buy at the store. So spending this amount of money on a product that I do not really need, I feel that I should be getting something of substantial quality. From the small images on Amazon, this thing fits the bill, but in my hands, they only get me 75% there. And while that may be good for some, I can do that.The good:Good price, instructions in English, and clean packaging. Of course, Amazon delivered quickly; that's not for review. (Please don't do that in your personal reviews)The bad:Takes (6) six, AAA batteries in EACH one. That's a dozen batteries that you're going to be tossing into the landfill when they run out. AAA should be reserved for things that NEED small form factors and that AA would be too large. That's not the case here, it's just poor planning and design without ANY regard for environment.The units I received BOTH had marring and scratching on them. Nothing major, but again, I do not want that on a $25 spice delivery gadget. The chrome top button is really chromed plastic that will mar if your hands aren't nail salon smooth. Also, the brushed stainless steel body seems very thin and had scratches in a few areas. One of the units had a slightly off kilter clocking compared to the rest of the body, resulting in a cheap look.Conclusion:I did not even put batteries in this, so I cannot review the operation, nor reliability. I was already put off by the finish and battery type. I should have paid more attention on the initial purchase, but alas, I was excited to step into the future. I guess the future will have to wait until Amazon delivers this unit for me to try: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078J6TWZR. It takes AA batteries (I use rechargebles) and comes highly reviewed. I should add that the fact OPUX makes so many different versions of what amounts to the same thing makes me a bit leery. None of them seem to differ beyond the body style and price. I'm sure there are plenty that will deem this fine and maybe they received non-scratched units, based on reviews, but that was not my experience.

Took me awhile to get the coarseness of salt and pepper to what i wantedNow works great , Handy little kitchen toyOnly problems i see is the bottom adjustment screw unwinds as you use it constantly.AND going through alot of batteries.

Ordered these and within 2 days, one of the shakers is stuck to the on position. In order to stop it from grinding, i have to disconnect the top portion containing the batteries. I emailed the seller days ago with still no response for a replacement item.
