My New Favorite Pen!
It's an elegant product at an affordable price! I had long seen and desired my own Ellington Fountain pen but always put off buying one. Well, Father's Day saw a daughter of mine give me a nice Amazon gift card and I immediately headed to the Ellington pens wanting to order a black medium pen. With Amazon, I placed the order late at night and by the next afternoon I had my new pen. I should add that I've been a fountain pen guy since my elementary school days when one could buy a Sheaffer fountain pen for 99¢ - this is way better! I love its ease of use and response to my way of writing.Comfort:Fits comfortably in my hand.Value for money:Executive quality for not so much money.Ink flow:The ink flows smoothly and evenly; a joy to use.Write quality:Its ease of writing is great even though my penmanship leaves a lot to be desired.

Absolutely the finest fountain pen I’ve ever owned!
Absolutely the finest fountain pen I’ve ever owned! When I was in middle school, my family moved from California to a small village in England. To my utter shock, I was required to use a fountain pen at school. I don’t think I’d ever heard of a fountain pen in my life until then (1972), but I took to it like a duck to water. I begged my parents for the pens I saw in High Street, but—thinking it was a phase—they only allowed for a cheap plastic school pen. No matter, I was besotted by all things fountain pen-related and my love for them never wavered. If anything, the hunt for one that I could afford in the performance of one I certainly could not became my holy grail pursuit. After we moved back to America, I was dismayed to discover that I couldn’t even find ink, let alone a cartridge stateside. It would be quite a few years before I discovered a high-end stationery shop that carried them. It being a specialty store, the pens I loved to play with in-house were still far too dear for me, but I was allowed to write and draw with them to my heart’s content and so began learning about what I loved most—and what to avoid—about my obsession. This being the days of yore, such knowledge came from humans rather than YouTube so shop owners were always happy to pass on their niche expertise. Thus began my adventure through low-cost alternative pens—a mostly disappointing journey—attempting to find the elusive unicorn. When an ad for the Ellington Pens showed up in my feed, I was intrigued, but not enough to trust a brand new brand without the history to support its touting. That said, when it recently went on sale, I thought, “Why not? Someone needs to be first.”I am so so very happy I trusted my gut! It feels like pens costing hundreds more! This, my friends, is the unicorn we’ve all been hunting! The ink just glides from the nib, and the balance is so perfect that even my arthritic fingers can write and write for ages each and every day. The cap is snug and the materials feel beautifully cool and solid. The only downside I have found—and this is just my personal opinion—is the converter reservoir. It feels and looks somewhat cheaply mass-produced. Even so, it behaves itself perfectly so far in my use. The ink pulls up nicely—without mess—and feeds well with zero drag, dumping, or gapping. As it’s tucked inside the barrel, who cares if it looks like an afterthought.Folks, I highly, highly recommend this pen, especially if you’re someone who must—or more importantly, loves to—handwrite a lot each day. It’s just such a glorious time loop back to the past when pens were created for their joy as much as for their purpose.

Love this pen!
I love fountain pens and am always looking for a better one. I stopped looking after I bought the Ellington. Clean crisp lines without skips or blobs of ink. Smooth writing experience without the scratchy friction of other fountain pens. The weighted cap also gives a solid feel when writing. It goes through ink faster than I’d expected so buy extra cartridges. (I haven’t tried the refill accessory)

Smooth, Elegant Writer
This is my second Ellington fountain pen, my first one mysteriously disappeared after someone “borrowed” it (a testament to how nice it is). I genuinely love the way it writes. The medium nib delivers smooth, consistent ink flow and glides effortlessly across the page. It really does feel like a luxury pen at a great price point.A quick note: if you write with a light hand, you might notice the top strokes of your letters aren’t as full or bold as the downward ones. It’s not a flaw, just something to be aware of with this nib. If you have a heavier hand, though, it writes beautifully. The set includes both cartridges and a refillable converter, which is a great bonus. I only wish the instructions were printed as having to scan a QR code to figure out the ink setup was a minor annoyance.Still, an excellent pen that I’d happily recommend, and clearly, I already bought it twice!

Great fountain pen!
Seriously the BEST fountain pen I own! I'm a self-proclaimed pen snob with an extensive fountain pen collection. This pen by far exceeds even my $800 name brand pen. The weight is perfect and the barrel diameter fits well with my style of writing. The cap fits snuggly over the writing tip as well at the barrel end when I'm using it. The writing tip is beautiful and writes with ease. The ink cartridge is a bit flimsy but it does the job. I LOVE this pen so much that I've purchased 2 more fir my collection and gifted many to family, friends and colleagues.
