Polti Vaporetto Classic 65 Steam Cleaner, 4 Bar, Made in Italy

I spent a lot of time researching and deciding on what brand and type of steam cleaner I wanted. We have a mucky dog and a very large house. I wanted something that was robust and had good reviews. I compared Karcher and Polti products and in the end settled for Polti. Although I like a product to look good, and Karcher with their signature yellow branding always pleases, I thought the Polti seemed more robust and better made. I have so far only used the floor attachment for steam cleaning the floor. I ordered more floor cloths in advance as knew it only came with one floor cloth. I am utterly impressed with the steam cleaning this does and it easily got mud and old grime out of my kitchen and living room floors. It takes just under 10 minutes for the steam machine to heat up in the boiler. It was very easy to assemble. Polti unit glides around very easily and is actually quite a cute looking product! I have only one concern, and that is the very flimsy white open/close lock latches on the extension tubes of the handle. One of them fell off already, but thankfully my son was able to fix it back on fairly easily. Aside from that, I have no doubt this is a very good investment, and I have already used it twice this week. Definitely pleased with this and it was worth doing all the research. I could have spent more money on the next model up in the Polti range, but this is good enough for what I need to do and I like the potential to purchase the various other attachments such as a steam iron, if I want to. Am looking forward to steam cleaning my windows now!

This is an amazing product. Not only does it look good but it is robust, well made and easy to manouver. It stems cleans better then any other product I've used. It's easy to fit attachments. I can clean carpets, furniture and even widows etc with it. A very good buy, much better than some of the better known brands IMHO. The steam is powerful and even, no spurting or dribbling like some of the others do!

Takes an age to heat up but once its ready its great. Cleans the tile floor very well. Nice long lead and wheels make it easy to do a whole floor. Much better than the old upright steam mop it has replaced.

I owned a Polti steam cleaner for approx 20 yrs and it worked all that time with no problems so when the hose began to leak steam I had no reason not to replace it with another Polti and chose the classic 65. In essence the product is much the same so with great optimism I read the manual and began to use it. However after 5mins. approximately it stopped steaming. I tried turning it off and on again and it worked for about 15 seconds before ceasing to steam altogether. I contacted the Amazon help line and was promised a replacement product. So I hope this was just a faulty item and will comment further once the replacement product arrives. Having had no trouble for so many years this was a real let down and in passing, this new Polti does not seem quite so sturdy and certainly the accessories are quite flimsy - still time will tell! Hopefully my next review will be a 5 star one! Certainly 5 stars to Amazon for their quick support!

Had 2 Polti steamers before buying this one.It was quite small in comparison to my old one.I prefer the unlimited tank access as this kind you have to wait until it’s cooled down to get the valve open.I sent this back as well because there was a rattle in the body of the steamer so between the tank size and rattle I sent it back and bought another one.

Bought this to replace an old polti, that finally gave up the ghost, so glad I did, much better than old one, faster heat up time, lighter to use as well, can do virtually any job with this from carpets, curtains, cookers, you name it you can use this for it.

Good machine. I have used it to steam walls and woodwork. Brilliant piece of kit. Intending to spring clean all rooms. Have used all the attachments. I do need to buy more cloths, as the ones supplied with the machine are not enough.

Good machine. Easy to use and we'll built, had a different make steam cleaner before and this is much better.
